I would not recommend this Nursing Home to anyone. There was a constant turnover with staff. We never knew what kind of person was taking care of our family member. We've experienced some caring staff members and also some ignorant ones who neglected my mother. The call button in the room was useless because it always took extremely long periods of time before a staff member arrived. My mother had many personal items missing from her room on a regular basis. Also when she passed away they boxed up her belongings instead of letting the family members do it. That was very cold and unappreciated.... Our complaints were never resolved. This is probably your typical nursing home environment every where, but it's a shame that anyone has to experience it.

The staff come and go continuously. You never know what kind of person is taking care of your family member. Experienced some caring staff members and also some ignorant ones who neglected my mother. What bothered me the most is that my mother had many personal items stolen from her room on a regular basis. The administrator is basically useless. Our complaints were never resolved. This is probably your typical nursing home environment every where, but it's a shame that anyone has to experience it.

The Staff and therphy department are wonderful. From management all the way down to the aides. They take the time to listen to you and are very attentitive to my mothers needs. While there on Hospice they made sure that mom had someone thier at her bedside even when hospice wasn't there yet. The staff is direct and tells it how it is, very honset and caring. I am very happy that my mom spent her last days in a facility that cared so much.

The 3 reviews beneath mine say pretty much what I would say. I would just like to add that their housekeeping team needs a shake up as the rooms are not cleaned and sanitized. I would NOT recommend this poor excuse of a rehabilitation center to my worst enemy. There needs to be more laws governing these centers to protect our loved ones.

Please do not send a loved one to this nursing home. It may look nice, but the care received by my family member was horrible. We were never contacted when she became critically ill and the nursing staff did nothing to help her. They are completely incompetent from the director of nursing right down to the CNAs.

$60,000 per year is the cost for this poor excuse for a rehabilitation care center. I am sorry I didn't read the reviews before checking in a family member. I never would have even considered rosewood care center in Joliet . I agree with not having the choice to rank this place a zero. It doesn't even deserve a zero.

02/10/2013  -  An OurParents User Writes:

Wish I could give a ZERO for all of the answers. Major disappointment and regrets sending our loved one here. No compassion, no friendliness, no cooperation at all with family members. I am urging you NOT to bring your family to Rosewood in Joliet Illinois.

I would strongly recomend this nursing home to anyone who is looking for quality medical care for their loved one. My grandfather recently was released from Rosewood after three months of rehabilatory care and we will soon be putting my grandmother in as well. We are hopeful that she will have great results as well. 5 stars.

Response: You are lucky, they killed my mom.

Do NOT send your loved one there ESPECIALLY if the are on hospice....the director of nursing is very curt and harsh to the family....the nursing staff is punch in punch out kind of thinking and make sure you visit as OFTEN as possible or else....
