Staff is overworked and under-appreciated. Serious violations from State Surveys in the last year. High management turnover rate as well as for nursing staff. I would never recommend anyone to take their loved one to this facility seeing what I have in the last few years I worked at this facility.

Fine somewhere else! Took my mother
Out of this place after two weeks.
She went in for rehab but they
Didn't do much but change around all
Her medicines and make her bedridden!
Went to a new facility and in a week they
Were able to get her medicines back to
Normal and had her up and walking. The
Time she spent at Lake Zurich Lexington
Really set her back. This place can't be trusted! Check out all
The Over drugged people in the rehab cafeteria to see
For yourself! Doctors are nasty and never check on patients
Nurses seem scared of the doctors and the nurse manager
Is rude and uncaring. The nurse assistants are treated awful!
Food seems worse than
A prison and is served cold with meat as tuff as shoe leather.
Considering my mother has dentures and didn't eat
Much and I had to bring her food from home. This is a sad,
Hopeless place.

Response: Your review of Lexington Lake Zurich is right on target! It is actually eerie how close your comments match exactly what we just went through with my Mother. If it wasn’t for some small differences, like my mother does not wear denture, and unfortunately, she is not up and walking yet, I would have thought this review was authored by one of my own family.
More people with such experiences should voice their review, so no other family falls victim of such treatment.
My prayers go out to you and your mother.

Mom mom passed away as a direct result from the lack of care she received at Lexington Nursing Home. Prior to her demise we had come to visit her and found her face down in her food. The staff just left her like that, we found her like that three times. She developed severe bed sores and other diseases after being admitted to this facility. The final straw was when they took her blood sugar in the morning and it read over 500. This was not reported to any doctor, and they just left her there all day until the early part of the evening like that. The doctor happened in and was reading charts when he discovered it, literally ran to her room and had her admitted to the emergency room of nearby Good Shepherd Hospital. She passed away there within a few days.
If you love the family member you have and are thinking about nursing homes, please for the sake of your loved one, do not even consider this. The worse the patient is, the worse they will be cared for.

The first experience my mom had with Lexington Nursing Home in Lake Zurich Illinois was good. However, she was able to take care of herself so to say, she was mobile and could eat. The second time when she required extra care, I was appalled at the poor care they were giving her. Leaving her with a food tray when she was too weak to hold a fork, we found her several times with her face in the food, they let her blood sugar rise to 500, yet did NOT call a doctor, who when he found out, quickly shipped her to the ICU unit of Good Shepherd Hospital, and on top of it, my mom developed very bad infected bed sores, that the hospital staff could not believe. Lexington is the type of nursing home that only helps those who are in a condition that they can somewhat help themselves, I am disgusted with their care.
