Lexington of Wheeling is a large, for profit, nursing home with 215 beds based in Wheeling, IL. At last check, the facility had 179 residents indicating that it is 83% occupied which is about average within the state of Illinois. The provider accepts both medicare and medicaid programs, and provides resident counseling services.
This nursing home is not located in a hospital or a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). As of November 2012, the medicare rating for Lexington Of Wheeling, was 2 stars, which is a lower rating than 62% of nursing homes in Illinois. Important to note that this facility has recently detriorated and has gone from 3 stars to 2 stars.

Response: I found my loved one in bed, naked from the waist down, no sheet or blanket and the window wide open (Middle of winter).They claimed she was playing with herself when she actually had a yeast infection from their lack of care !!! BEWARE

please look at other sites before choosing lexington. I had a relative here at lexington of wheeling and up front it looks ok but trust me when i say this i wouldn't let my dog live there i wouldn't want my pet to pass away which was the outcome with my relative.

Response: by your comments it is clear you are an employee of lexington and just trying to make lite of the actual miscare being given and very unfortunate that money means more for the corporation then to hire the proper amount of nurses / care givers that is really needed.
