By far the worst place when it comes to care! Corporate is to blame with this since they seem to not want to keep staff for a long period of time! Turnover is huge, very expensive, meals are horrible considering how much people pay and NO activities! The other sad thing is residents sit in soiled clothes for a long period of time before they are changed. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

My mother-in-law and father both resided at the Tipton House about five years ago. They loved it there, plenty of staff, a cleaning person and a maintanance person. Staff and resident interactions was wonderful and the occupancy was full.
My mother, was diagnosed with beiginning to mid level alzheimer/demtia and assisted living was advised by her doctors. In this small town there are two assisted living faacilities. So since our previous experience with Tipton House and staff was positive and the layout and facility is bright and cheery, we once again chose it. At first all seemed ok, but then staff was cut and what staff there was had to do more of the cleaning, repairing, planting of flowers, serving the meals than having the time to see to residents. Now the residents that are accepted, a percentage of them, cannot take care of themselves at all and are at deaths door. The population is below half, again in a small town, dissatisfaction travels fast. Cooperate is largely to blame.$$$$$$$ When residents with alzheimers are left to wander and people are quiet and there is a shortage of staff, it starts to show. We have moved Mom and give no reccomendations for the Tipton House I am sorry to say. The facility and caring nurse and cnas are great, but.............so very dissapointed
