Nice new facility but was dissapointed with the care given my mother. The first two days here she wasn't given her prescription medicine because the providing pharmacy was out of stock so they, Madison health care, just didn't give it to her and I didn't find out untill the second day when I provide some to help her. They were to do her laundry but after two weeks when she was out of clean cloths and I brought it to their attention, they finally got around to it. During week three my mother had started to get worst and I had to be told by my aunt that she was not doing good. The following morning I was notified she past during the night. At no time did anyone call me to let me know she was in that bad of shape, she died alone, after only three weeks here. They are the worst about letting your know how anything about your loved ones condition, the poorest communication I have ever had with any place my mother was. I wish I could recommend this place but after my experence I can't .

Response: I would agree that it is not a good facility. My mother died there too but she had only been on hospice 3 days. I feel if I had left her alone then she would have just been ignored, so I couldn't leave her for a moment. My heart breaks for all the elderly who have no one and are just forgotten. We had problems with getting the scripts both times she was admitted there; the first time was for rehab, which seemed pretty good at the time. The second and final time was when she was put in hospice care. The problem is that hospice only checks in a couple times a week and the rest of the time they are at Madison ' s mercy.

Response: Also , Madison seems to blame the pharmacy for the scripts not getting there in a timely manner. Both times my mom was admitted there was unacceptable delays in receiving meds from pharmacy. If the pharmacy is that bad and to blame the Madison should Use a different pharmacy! My mom was in extreme pain from her cancer and they did not have her morphine and I could hear her moaning As I came through the door on my way in to see her. Luckily I had her meds from home with me, so I gave her the medicine against the staff's wishes/rules. They would have done the same if it had been their mother. Too often the residents are only numbers and no one thinks of them as they would want their parents to be regarded. It is a shame, a true injustice!
