there was a cockroach seen, the equipment is out dated and dangerous to use, horrible team work at this facitily, useless office people, completely back wards, stinks liek pee everywhere! nurses sit around nursing station gossiping about the residents and past residents!

Response: I would like to comment on the January 25, 2012 review submitted by the “Family Member of Current/Past Resident” above. Before I comment, I would like to say that I have a two year degree in dietary management and was also once a CNA (certified nursing assistant) – not at this facility. Within the last three months, our mother was admitted to the Mitchell Village Care Center there in Mitchellville. We (our family) can not thank each of the department heads for their fine assistance – from Travis, Becky, the RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s Chrissy, Jeri, Nicole and others in welcoming and caring for our mother in a professional matter. I find it hard to believe (no, I am not calling you a liar) that the “nurses sit around nursing station gossiping about the residents and past residents!” And the comment that “horrible team work at this facitily, useless office people, completely back wards.” May I ask, what type of equipment were you talking about – “the equipment is out dated and dangerous to use)? I have also enjoyed a couple meals with my mother there and “no” – we didn’t have “cockroaches” for dessert.
