Very rude Director of nursing ,there is no communication within the staff and Staff are treated poorly and are leaving before you get a chance to get to know them.
For a building that is so clean and well-kept the care of the residents are seriously under question.
Me,personaly would NEVER let ANY of my family or refer anyone to ever stay there until they fix the source of the issues which this is only my opinion, start from the top better supervisors will make better staff which is where the direct care comes from for the residents that are staying there.

very disorganized. skilled nursing is not what you have in this facility. left hand has no right hand for help or organization. at 6,000.00 a month you would think they could hire some good help and have a better administrator.

Description of The Village at Legacy Pointe in WAUKEE, IA

Number of Beds : 16

Offering assisted living, independent living, memory care, nursing home, skilled nursing, continuing care, hospice, rehab, respite and senior living services, The Village at Legacy Pointe gives you a great mix of services and amenities in a caring community. Assisted living offers a warm, supportive, and nuturing atmosphere for individuals who require some help but still want to keep their self-reliance. Why choose assisted living? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to a more fulfilling life. With assisted living, you'll find senior-friendly living options and a dedicated staff. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Housekeeping, laundry, social programs, and local transportation are usually provided, too. This community, a comprehensive independent living community, allows you to do as you wish, when you wish, but without the burdens of home ownership that can tie you down and take up your time. Serving both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a variety of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. Your personal belongings, such as furniture and favorite mementos, can move to your new home with you. With maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping taken care of, seniors can focus on goals and passions instead of the daily demands of home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. Memory care gives a higher level of attention, regular memory enhancement programs, and social opportunities, all in a secure, warm setting. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a dedicated staff that is skilled in techniques unique to memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private residences with twenty-four-hour support. Three healthy meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment support mental stimulation. Grounds typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to enjoy. Behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming are provided as well. Continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) are dedicated to making the phases of the aging process as smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. It achieves this through offering long-term, comprehensive assistance, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. If your loved one suffers from serious illnesses or chronic health issues, the nursing care option at The Village at Legacy Pointe is recognized for delivering the kind of knowledgeable, intensive assistance its residents need. Even if their active days are behind them, they deserve the dignity of compassionate mental, emotional, and physical care, and the skilled nursing community within The Village at Legacy Pointe has the staffing and experience to ensure your loved one receives precisely such services. A skilled staff and licensed nurses provide 24/7 health care when needed as well as assistance with the activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, and help with using the bathroom. Most residents share a room, with healthy meals provided in a central dining room. An activity director designs an activity and events plan to cultivate mental, physical, and social health. The Village at Legacy Pointe provides a low-maintenance lifestyle and the assistance seniors need to enjoy retirement. With comprehensive assisted living, independent living, memory care, nursing home, skilled nursing, continuing care, hospice, rehab, respite and senior living services, and with a caring environment, seniors can feel relaxed and secure. An assisted living community provides help when necessary with the goal of supplying the services required to stay as autonomous as possible. With independent living, you can do as you wish, when you wish, but without the burdens of home ownership that can take up your time. Memory care gives a higher level of attention, intellectual stimulation, along with comfortable, secure accommodations. Continuing retirement care is dedicated to making the phases of the aging process as smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. It achieves this through offering long-term, comprehensive assistance, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. Nursing home care gives the highest level of attention in the senior space. Call for more information on how you can become part of the The Village at Legacy Pointe community.
