My mother was in BW for 4 years and each year the care got worse. They are under staffed, and seem to hire CNA's that have not been trained. The staff does a very poor job of following up on any complaints. The upper management seems to be more interested in having power and firing good employes then the care of the residents. I would not reccommend this place to anyone you love.

I work here as a nurse, and I'm very sorry to say that I'd never place my own parents in this facility. They are constantly understaffed, and the employees are treated poorly and overworked. It is common to have 1 nurse take care of 40 people, which is very unsafe. Breaks are almost non-existent, and the staff is exhausted and burned out. The CNAs and nurses here all work like dogs. The nursing staff genuinely cares about the residents, but they can only do so much. Please, look into another option for your loved ones.

This facility is for profit only, they seriously do not care about their residents. Money is the motivating factor, as long as you are breathing they will take you. They have cut back their hours to staff, the ratio per resident is severely under and these residents are suffering because of it. If you care about your loved one, find another solution, because Brandon Woods only wants your money.

It is an awful place everyone is rude, the facility is dirty and don't get me started on their pharmacy. Sunflower pharmacy is run by a rude pharmacists who never have anything in stock for my parents. I do not recommend Sunflower Pharmacy because Debbie Mishler will bite your head off. Thanks for nothing Brandon Woods.

Response: Very poorly run. Dirty.

Residents live in private or semi-private studio homes with twenty-four-hour supervision. Three nutritious meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment bring intellectual stimulation. Communities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to access. Other important services include behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming. Continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) provide a complete care platform, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care. For seniors who need continuous, long-term medical support or short-term rehabilitation, nursing homes are a good option. The level of care depends on the medical needs of each resident, but typically residents receive nursing support and daily assistance with the activities of living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
