01/09/2015 An Interested Visitor Writes: The staff lacks initiative in engaging the residents. They leave them alone as much as possible. Our primary objective in putting mom there was for rehab to help her get out of bed with minimal assist (so that we could return her to the memory care facility). However, we found on many mornings, she's left in bed until we ask. And in the end, they lifted her out of bed. which was contrary to the intended plan of care. When we moved mom there, she was able to stand 30 mins and walk 40 steps with her walker, and on most days it took 2 people to get her out of bed. By the time we moved her to a different facility, she had been left in bed for 3 days. In the entire stay there she did not stand or walk. To this day, I am not sure why you would call this a rehabilitation facility, if they do no rehabbing. The place was depressing because they left everyone alone. It felt like a hospital, not at all warm and engaging.
