Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home is a small, for profit, nursing home with 20 beds based in Bossier City, LA. At last check, the facility had 7 residents indicating that it is 35% occupied which is less than average within the state of Louisiana. The provider accepts only medicare, and provides resident counseling services.
This nursing home and assisted living facility, is not located in a hospital or a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). As of November 2012, the medicare rating for Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home, was 5 stars. Only 8% of nursing homes have 5 stars in Louisiana. Response: On February 11, 2013, my father-in-law became a resident of the War Veterans home in Bossier City, La.In the short time he has been living there, he has improved so much, mentally and physically. He is healthier now than he was 5 yrs ago. The veterans home is absolutely amazing.
