This place has really gotten a lot worse. The male director and the rest of the administrative team left in April and since then the place has gone down hill. Their new director seems as though she is clueless as to what is going on. She is not very friendly, hardly ever in the buidling and when she is in the building is sitting in her office with the door shut. I would seriously consider another place when looking to place a loved one in that facility. I have since moved my loved one out of Terrebonne House.

Terrebonne House staff does a good job. They do their best with what they are provided. Their male director is very nice and compassionate towards his residents. He is always helping and going out of the way to help the residents. He is always sitting with two Alzheimer's residetns and keeping them company and engaged in things. When I bring concerns to him he always gets back to me when he finds out the resolution. The residents truley speak highly of the administrative team at Terrebonne House. Housekeeping is done once a week included in rent. Each resident is assessed for proper services. There were some issues last year with some holes in the ceilings from fire sprinkler issues that took a long time to repair.

Terrebonne is a very nicely designed facility--dining/social area bright and cheerful. However, the cleanliness of each residents room is lacking--i have seen dead cocroaches left under sinks in residents bathrooms for days---one particular resident would soil her bed at night and it would be left until at least noon or so=the odor would knock you out whe you entered the room. For an asissted living facility there is no excuse for that....guess no one there ever thought to put the poor woman in Depends at night. Have seen the male director recoil in disgust when one of the elderly patients tried to hug him..he is as compassionate and warm as a doorknob. As I said--facilty is very nice--just dont scratch the beautiful surface too deeply--you probably wont like what you see.

Response: I disagree with this person's review. I have seen the male director of Terrebonne House act in a very compassionate manner towards his residents and have seen him actually go down the hallways and take care of the residents personally when they were short staffed for a reason. I have a loved one in that facility and my family member always speaks positively about the administrative staff at Terrebonne House.
