My parents have resided in an assisted living apartment at Chateau de Notre Dame for 2-1/2 years, after moving from their personal home. I cannot say enough good things about the care they receive at CdND. The staff is top-notch. The personnel always have a greeting and make an effort to communicate with residents on a regular basis. They address me when I enter the lobby or encounter one in the hall or elevator. The management offices are located directly off the main lobby and has an "open-door" policy. I've visited several facilities in the NOLA area and am sure CdND is the right place for my parents. DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS. NO PLACE IS LIKE HOME, BUT THIS IS THE NEXT BEST PLACE.

I have never been to a place where the staff has been so rude and uncaring. I was visiting a friend in the nursing home and was very disappointed. I would never move a loved one into the Chateau De Notre Dame. They need to take lessons or classes on how to take care of elderly people. They need to put themselves in the places of the family members, how would they like it if there mother, grandmother, father or grandfather was being treated the way these elderly people are being treated, I am quite sure that they would not like it at all and they would be the first to complain about it. They need to understand that elderly people need just as much if not more love and understanding as anyone else. They are elderly and do not always understand everything on a daily basis.
