The only reason we chose BNRC is because it was close to home for my husband's rehab. His room is old, dingy and and the linens are worn and stained. The center is very understaffed for the amount of caring individuals they have in the facility. Most of the staff are unfriendly, uncaring and seems like they are only there for the job. You can never find a REAL nurse when needed and when you do it takes 30 minutes or longer to get some assistance. I also am comlpetely understanding the doctors that they have on board to treat your family member. There is no system in place so you can ask questions, meet with them for questions or even know for sure that they were in to care for your family member. I watched when trays were coming for a person that could not feed themselves and no family member was there and no staff member came to feed him so no food was given to him that night. This was uncalled for. If there was another facility nearby I would certainly make a change in his rehab facility.

Recently visited this facility when visiting a friend recovering from surgery. I was appalled. Possibly the worse rehabilitation/nursing home facility I have ever visited. The rooms were dirty and run down. The staff were gruff and morale seemed low (not one had a smile on their face or a remotely pleasant demeanor when asked a question). According to my friend, the staff does not follow universal precautions (i.e. wearing gloves when helping with toileting). Wish I could get my friend out of this facility, but it was the only place available at the time. Do not put your loved one in this facility.
