just horrible - heard racist comments by administrator

Response: Witness something similar there last week - believe it was the Administrator (her saying F this and that within ear shot). Don't believe their 4 star rating - the quality of care just isn't there anymore. It used to be a great facility with top notch care. So sad to see it just become a business. Taking my mother elsewhere. Believe they have staffing issues - can see why; employees constantly getting demeaned.

Response: My Mom has only been there for 3 days and I am counting the days till she will be released. The staff ignore all the patients and do not check on them unless you ask and then you still have to wait at least 20 minutes. There are patients wandering the halls and going into other patients rooms. The only staff members that have shown any interest or concern for my mom has been the physical therapists. They are the only staff that has shown care and concern for her comfort. Sorry I can only give 2 stars.

Response: This facility has gone downhill quickly in the past 10 months. Seen the administrator and DoN talk down to staff, pretty embarrassing to witness. Employees seem deflated. The quality of care for the patients is no longer a priority. Need to do a complete overhaul of senior leadership, namely the DoN and administrator. Will never bring back my parents !!!

Administrator and DoN yelling at their staff in broad daylight- so unprofessional, wouldn't dare be a patient there.

I will never place my loved one at this facility again. The staff neglects the patients on a regular basis. When the call button is pushed it takes hours for them to respond. The patient next to our loved one had to wait 1.5 hours until someone helped them to the bathroom, not once but twice in the same day and the same thing the next day. Could hear other patients yelling for help during the day because no one responds to them. I worry everyday and hope nothing happens to them because the aids and nursing staff did not check on them as they should. Always the same response, will be right there and hours go by, you literally have to chase them down to get help for the patient. Medications are never given on time, always 1/2 to hours past the due time. Looking to transfer out of here while they are still in OK health.

My mother was recently in this facility following a knee replacement. She was very reluctant to be placed in a facility for rehab. I was worried how my mother adjust and was surprised at how quickly she did adjust. The staff was very friendly and helpful and make my mother feel very comfortable. The therapists were excellent at pushing her. They worked her very hard but at the end of the day she had progressed so much faster than expected. The facility was much different than how I viewed a skilled nursing facility. The rooms were very clean and there was no odor. There were several room in which I could visit my mother. I think my mom was actually sad when it came time for her to leave. We received several follow up calls after she left to see how she was doing. Overall, I was very impressed by Crofton and would recommend them to anyone.

Do not leave your loved one here. Not sure if they are just short staffed or just don't care. Our loved one fell once while left unattended after recovering from a massive heart attack. Had to go back to the hospital for a bleed on the head. Went back to rehab, thinking this was a fluke, and put signs up in room instructing that she not be left alone in bathroom. Aid went into bathroom with her and then left through a second door in the bathroom. We found her on the floor of the bathroom- she had fallen again. Exhaust all other options before leaving anyone here!!!!

Crofton is the only place I would place a family member I liked. I tried the rest and Crofton is the best! They addressed medical issues that no one else did. The staff were kind and professional. Loved the crab cakes and homemade soups. The expansive rehab department is so inviting. All the therapists are miracle workers. You can tell it is privately owned and operated by professionals who are dedicated to patient care. Thank-you for being there for me!

Had my mother-in-law here for a week. A long week it was! How this place has 5 stars I'll never know. The place is VERY dirty and run down. Most of the staff I had contact with were very cold. Trash over flowing. The therapy room looked like something I saw at a YMCA 30 years ago! What a joke. Food was bad too.
Moved her to Severna Park Care (Genesis) and are very happy. What a world of difference!!
