11/16/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: This place is so fantastic! The whole staff goes above and beyond to make the residents feel safe and cared for. I was nervous having to place my mother in a nursing care facility but everyone at Encore has proved to me that I made a great decision! It is close to my home and I feel so comfortable having her there! It is tough having to make that decision for a parent but this is the place to be!

07/19/2012 An Current/Past Employee Writes: It is what a 5. Star facility should be. One nurse spent time just holding a patients hand that was anxious! They don't just treat physical but emotional care also! They care! Proud to be a part of this team!

12/17/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Beautiful, clean facility!! From the greeting of the receptionist to the nurses,I feel my mother is at a good place. I have always been treated so kindly once I step in the door. I have seen some problems in the past with staff but that's at every work place. I still feel very comfortable having my mother there and trust she is taken care of!!!

04/25/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Great staff! Beautiful facility!

04/16/2012 An Current/Past Employee Writes: I am honored to work at this facility. It is clean, state of the art. The staffing ratios for nurses and GNAs to patients is very much above most nursing homes. Like any other building there may be days that are challenging because of other staff call off but it is not because the building understaffs. The Managment cares and is not afraid to help out which makes for a great team. Our new doctors are really knowledgeable. We are very good with rehab patients and we send home a lot of people successfully rehabed. Come in and visit one of he best facilities around!

04/12/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Facility is beautiful! My father got excellent care while he was there.

04/10/2012 An Current/Past Resident Writes: My mother in law is currently at this facility and I am very pleased to see the care they provide for her. My mother in law has been there for a week and I have witnessed patients that have dementia that are difficult to handle and the WHOLE staff provides great care. They are patient, caring and do their best to make sure they are well taken care of. It saddens me to see all these reviews because I have been to many other nursing homes and Encore is remarkable compared to others. It is very hard to put a loved one in a nursing home and Encore has blessed my family and made it easy for us to handle.

    Response: Thank you!!!

02/23/2012 An Current/Past Employee Writes: The below accusations are completely unfounded and untrue. This sounds like a disgruntled employee who was fired for not doing their job properly. I use to work at Encore and have nothing but praise for the facility. Besides being a beautiful clean environment, the personnel and staff are warm and friendly. The entire staff cares deeply for their residents. I saw firsthand the loving care the residents received.

Response: Unfortunitly some patients require one on one care or a sitter when they are challenging dementia- high fall risks. There is only so much 3-4 nurses can do. People fall,we are not a restraint facility and if you were fair and caring yourself, you would see the nursing staff did the best they can do. Not all patients are alert and oriented. Many clients appreciated the loving care we nurses and GNA's, and physical therapy provided. Good luck finding the same elsewhere. I am a seasoned nurse and appreciate the skill levels my co-wokers display and if family members appreciated healthcare, and limited their dictation to medical care, your family member may have improved faster for a speedy recovery. Then return home! Think about that awhile. We do not delay care for pain management, if there is an approved medication, they receive it. We do not have an on-site pharmacy so it's not always availble to the patient until pharmacy delivers, out of our control. Think about that before you judge us.

Response: This comment seems to just stating the obvious. Why even bother to state such? It is of course a nursing home and not a hospital or rehab center. It is a lovely and new center in an upscale community with restaurants and services not even 5 minutes away loved ones can easily enjoy.

Response: I do not see the accusation/ or negative review that joins the responses dated 2-23-12. The one I see that did respond states " The below accusations are completely unfounded/untrue" etc- where is the complaint? But I certainly agree with the Response that begins with "Unfortunately some patient"~
I will add, though, if the overbearing, micro-managing, interfering family members would back off and allow our physicians and nurses provide the best care possible for their loved ones, then everyone wins. I have noticed many times there are other family issues going on and some members are not in agreement or on board with the plan of care of that loved one. So families should work out their own family dynamics before going to hospitals/nursing facilities and have one designated point of contact/mediator to work with medical staff to better serve that patient. Stop whining, bickering and causing turmoil in OUR facility- you are the ones not helping your family member to get well enough to return to your family/home.
Many of us have worked at Encore from the beginning and it has improved over the years from it's infancy stage to now. No workplace is without issues/concerns but we all strive to make our work environment happy. healthy and productive for all.
The reviews I am seeing are not of late, this is 2014~ Think positive and have a "can do" attitude!!
