User Reviews

Atrium Village is the "Mercedes Benz" of Baltimore area nursing homes. My mother has been in Atrium Village for over one year. I have found the staff to be friendly and attentive to a point. I trust all of those who I have met. The place is kept quite clean. The food is quite good. My mother's cousin is at Edenwald in Towson and boy does she have problems there. Her family sent a legitimate complaint to the Nursing Director and got no response. She said the Nursing Director does not want to hear from her because when she spoke to her she seemed put out. When my mother's cousin was in rehab and a kind nurse manager told her it was her last week after working many years. She said it seems like a lot of employees at Edenwald are unhappy. My mother's cousin's family is looking into moving her from Edenwald. So glad I didn't move my mother there.

Description of Atrium Village in OWINGS MILLS, MD

Built In 2001 , Number of Beds : 93

Seniors in Owings Mills, MD, will find The Atrium Village to be just the right fit for their needs. Assisted living offers help on an as-needed basis, with the goal of providing the support that helps seniors stay as self-reliant as possible. There are many reasons for living in an assisted living community. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. Assisted living provides senior-friendly housing and a caring staff. Other services you'll find include around-the-clock supervision and security, access to professional nurses, emergency call systems, help with daily living, and nutritious meals prepared by chefs. These communities typically provide linen service, housekeeping, transportation, and a calendar of social events. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life independent living is the ideal choice. Tailored for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a variety of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You’ll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. Memory care offers the highest level of support, consistent memory enrichment programs, and increased security for your loved one. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a staff that is trained in memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private studio homes with twenty-four-hour supervision. Three nutritious meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment bring intellectual stimulation. Communities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to access. Other important services include behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming. Make a home at The Atrium Village, where you'll experience a comfortable new beginning. There are assisted living, independent living, memory care, rehab and respite services available at this location. Assisted living offers help on an as-needed basis, with the goal of supplying the support required to stay as self-reliant as possible. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life, independent living is the ideal choice. Memory care offers the highest level of support, memory enrichment programs, and increased security for your loved one. Seniors can find the ideal services and amenities they need to live comfortably at The Atrium Village.
