Lorien Mays Chapel itself is beautiful, which helped with my emotional distress. The therapists worked very hard to have me back on my feet. They have a lot of fun activities for the patients to do and make their stay there more pleasant. I was bed bound for 6 weeks and the nurses helped me in all my needs. They were available as soon as I called them. Every staff member was friendly, caring and understing of my needs. My family had the opportunity to visit other facilities before my admission here and they were pleased with my stay at Lorien Mays Chapel. Other rehab centers or nursing homes were dirty, and the condition they keep their patients is miserable. My daughter used to work at Edenwald. That place is awful!! Appears nice and clean but dont be fooled. My daughter said the DON is never around and never returns calls or looks into things. They would rather spend money on new flat screen tv's and plants. The only time you see managers and the administrator help is when state is in the building. Save your money and go somewhere else! I'm glad I did.

Description of Lorien Mays Chapel in TIMONIUM, MD

Number of Beds : 85

Senator John Glenn once said, “Too many people, when they get old, think they have to live by the calendar.” A rejection of ‘calendar living’ perfectly describes the kind of world the senior living industry creates for millions of Americans over 55. Senior living is a lifestyle of personal choice. Those in senior living communities are never beholden to the calendar. They are free to be as active or inactive as they wish. If they want to relax and watch TV, they are free to do that, too. If they are healthy and independent and wish only to take advantage of fine housing, home-cooked meals, and cleaning services, they are free to do so. If they need assistance with some aspects of daily living, that type of community is available, too. Senior living also includes housing for those who require daily medical care as well as care for seniors who want to stay in their own homes. A well-organized system of care, senior living welcomes you for what YOU want to do.
