I went to Brightview a few times to eat with my grandma and the food was actually not horrible. The horrible part of this place is how they took care of her. She is aging quite gracefully but needs assistance in keeping her place clean and also her clothes and bed.
It is easy to assume that for the $8000 they charge and the title “Assisted Living” that they would do this. They repeatedly miss cleaning days and say “She didn’t want them in here” which is baloney. They are always trying to pull a fast one over and then once you confront them, they CHARGE MORE!

I see these other reviews and I have to agree… Do not put a loved one here. Its also difficult to always get her to the doctors because Brightview does not have any in-home care options AT ALL. This place seemed pretty nice and the foods pretty good, but once you go deeper into the facility, its a nightmare.

Brightview is over-priced. They do minimal work for maximum dollar. I was very disappointed with this facility and would not recommend living here.

I would not send anyone you love here. Just horrible staff and horrible conditions. Don't be fooled by the pretty theater - I have seen about 2 people in there in 2 years. Most of the "Inmates" are holed up in their dirty rooms. I mean filthy, unsanitary rooms. The residents there often have to be rushed off to the hospital for bacterial infections.

I would give negative stars if I could. The experience of having a family member in this facility has been nothing but negative and aggravating. They fool you into thinking they can take care of your family members but when push comes to shove, they wont. The administrative staff is aggressive, unhelpful and downright difficult to deal with.

They do not take good care of the rooms. There is moldy food on the desk and soiled sheets for days. One time they covered up stains on the bed with a blanket. When asked about why the room is so unclean they had a "Not our job" mentality and hostile towards us. He even had to go to the hospital with a bacterial infection - there for quite some time.

Candice (employee of BrightView) said that it is "Unsafe" for my loved one to stay there and I agree - Brightview is killing him with neglect and in my opinion, they are a hair short (If that) of elder abuse.

Response: I agree 100%!! My mom lived at Brightview in Danvers for 1 year and I can't believe we even kept her there that long! The staff did not know how to handle Alzheimer's patients at all. And yes my mom was in the lock down section of the building. What you said is right about the beauty. DON"T BE FOOLED!!! Looks are one thing but it is the inside (caretakers) that count! This place was horrible!! On top of it for what we paid $$$$$$$$$ outrageous for what we got. So happy she is not there anymore!! This place is just a business money maker, nursing staff was terrible!

Gain a wealth of friendship and comfort while enjoying the good life at Brightview Senior Living of Danvers, where you’ll find assisted living, independent living, memory care and skilled nursing services. Supplying assistance with everyday activities, along with health services, nutritious meals, and a range of other conveniences, assisted living allows seniors to thrive. Why choose assisted living? Studies reveal that living near peers and participating in social activities leads to a happier life. Assisted living offers senior-friendly residences and a warm staff. Communities have additional services that include 24-hour supervision and security, emergency response systems, access to licensed nursing care, chef-prepared meals, and assistance with grooming, dressing, and bathing. Laundry, housekeeping, social programs, and local transportation are typically provided as well. When you are autonomous but want to be in the company of your peers, choose indepedent living and enjoy amenities and services geared towards seniors. Intended for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with an abundance of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. Your personal belongings, such as furniture and favorite mementos, can move to your new home with you. With maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping taken care of, seniors can focus on goals and passions instead of the daily demands of home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and many others. The staff at Brightview Senior Living of Danvers has a special place in its collective heart for residents and their families who must deal, day by day, with the effects of Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. Alzheimer’s specialists work hand-in-hand with families, loved ones, and the Brightview Senior Living of Danvers staff to ensure that residents receive the comprehensive treatment they need. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a dedicated staff that is skilled in techniques unique to memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private residences with twenty-four-hour support. Three healthy meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment encourage mental stimulation. Grounds typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to enjoy. Behavioral therapies, continence care, medication management, and assistance with bathing and grooming are provided as well. Brightview Senior Living of Danvers helps seniors find the worry-free lifestyle they want. In this community, residents have complete assisted living, independent living, memory care and skilled nursing services, as well as a hospitable environment. Within assisted living communities, you'll find help as you need it, with the goal of giving the aid required to stay as autonomous as possible. When seniors are autonomous but want to be in the company of peers, choose indepedent living and enjoy a variety of amenities and services. Memory care gives a higher level of attention, brain games designed for memory enhancement, as well as secure, comfortable living arrangements. Seniors find the ideal services and amenities they need to live comfortably at Brightview Senior Living of Danvers.
