The staff ignored our concerns and treated us as though we were the enemy even though we tried very hard to be accomodating. As my mothers health rapidly declined they refused to transfer her to a hospital and as she lapsed in unconsciousness they denied it was happening and insisted she was "looking at them, and following with her eyes" she clearly was not. Before we could arrange hospitalization on our own my mother passed away - alone. As we entered the facility to remove her things not one staff member spoke to us except to show us where they had packed her "stuff" My mothers life at Buckley had been pilfered down to one bag! The social worker at the time was a recent grad who was initially hired for art therapy or something and was promoted because of a staff shortage, she was openly hostile if we disagreed with even the slightest thing, she told us that our opinion didnt matter, and we could call a lawyer if we didnt like it. Mom passed before there was time for legal intervention. By the way, I held power of attorney and health care proxy, by denying her state of consciousness they could ignore that fact. PLEASE be aware of this awful place and CAREFULLY monitor your family if you decide to place a loved one here. Make all legal arrangements to be in control before it is necessary, Buckley staff WILL NOT HELP YOU!! These are people with serious control issues!

Response: I agree.. Medical care substandard. Low blood pressures and dehydration ignored until after calling a doctor and insisting blood draw showed a K+ of 7.0. They waited for redraw before transferring to ER. Dehydration caused by extreme dehydration brought on by diahrea. Nursing staff did not respond...
