New executive director is very inexperienced and does not follow up. Wish I had chosen a different community. Would have if I had known there was a change on the horizon.

Response: Our mom has lived at Autumn Glen for almost a year now. She is VERY happy and the staff is wonderful. The (now) executive director was the marketing rep when we first entered Autumn Glen. She was one of the first people we met and was one of the reasons we chose to move our mom to Autumn Glen. I and my siblings could not be happier with the facility, staff and management. I completely/respectively disagree with your review.

The care that is given at this beautiful community is without equal. The executive director who has been there since it opened is also a nurse, and I always felt that my Mom was in the best possible hands there. the grounds are extensive and beautifully landscaped, the apartment large and attractive, and the food was great! We learned to love the staff for the care they gave Mom. Thank you Autumn Glen!!

When seeking a long-term care solution, assisted living is geared toward individuals who want to live with some level of independence but need some assistance. There are many reasons for living in an assisted living community. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. Assisted living provides senior-friendly housing and a caring staff. These communities typically provide linen service, housekeeping, transportation, and a calendar of social events. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life independent living is the ideal choice. Tailored for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You’ll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. Memory care offers the highest level of support, consistent memory enrichment programs, and increased security for your loved one. Memory care is different from the care provided in assisted living, requiring a staff that is trained in memory care. Residents live in private or semi-private studio homes with twenty-four-hour supervision. Three nutritious meals a day plus snacks are provided, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. Structured activities designed specifically for memory impairment bring intellectual stimulation. Communities typically have secured areas, such as walking paths and gardens, for residents to access.
