DO NOT Send anyone here.
DO NOT Go here.
DO NOT Recommend it to anyone.

They do the bare minimum to get by state and federal caregiver requirments to maintain their skilled nursing facility status by the government. They are understaffed, the Nurses are overworked and underpaid, the majority of their CNA staff is underpaid and underskilled. There's an overall shady and slimy attitude presented by the administration. They prey on the diminished mental capacity of the elderly in their care and try to manipulate them and their family members by purposely telling the patient one thing, and the family another. They lie, they double-talk, and they withhold information from patients and family. Important information like Insurance practices and basic patient's rights.

The worst is the "Administrator" Blaming patients for their CNA's ineptitudes, negative and disgusting atittude, and talking down to patients as if they were toddlers. She should be fired and replaced.

Staff is still rude and insulting. Always late in contacting family about slip and falls, change in mental status. The sedate here. More like over medicate to keep you quiet.

  • Management

Response: Not enough help. Always shorthanded.
    Activities lacking

Response: Uneducated bafoons running the joint

Nursing staff is extremely rude and lack the patience required to deal with elderly patients - especially those with dimmensia. Will not let my father stay there again. Found out that he was sedated for an entire day for no reason; received an infection while there.

Response: Lacking in help. Always understaffed.
Present staff is still rude and insensitive.
    Need dementia training.

Response: We are also finding that staff is slow in responding to a client and will lie about calling after a fall. Ask for call backs, we get flunkies. Told about one fall, but not the next fall, but said we were called when we were not called. Will say for a plus, they are clean and no Oder. But communication is very lax.

Follow up to my post of 9/08/2015: The nurse practitioner was not responsible for calling the ambulance. Southeast Rehab is at fault. Per the director and a head nurse, there is NO protocol in place as to when the ambulance is called, or if there is a delay, health care proxy is not notified. My apologies to the Nurse Practitioner.

Response: residents smoke in their rooms. Fire trap

The PT and OT are outstanding, facility is clean, grounds are beautiful, food is good. Cons: Hoyer accident was not reported until family member noted the next day, long term care floor only has 1 nurse for entire wing at times on a regular basis, Nurse Practitioner asked family member if patient should go stay at facility or go to ER. ER was requested, ambulance was not called for1 1/2 hours. E cigarettes use in room do not have a policy in place.
