01/04/2016  -  An Interested Visitor Writes:

I was hospitalized at Charlton Memorial Hospital for three weeks in 2015 and was transferred to Somerset Ridge Nursing Home because I was very deconditioned and needed physical and occupational therapy. I was impressed by the facilities cleanliness and quality of food but the care I received was unmatched. The nurses were very attentive and as someone that had few family visits, they understood that I was in need of a friend. One nurse in particular (Christy) was always able to "turn my frown upside down." She recognized that I wasn't at my personal best and was afraid that I may not fully recover to a point at which I would be able to return home. She encouraged me to have faith and try my hardest each and every day. Despite being busy, she always took a few minutes to sit with me and make me feel like I was her only patient. If you're considering a short term rehabilitation stay in a nursing home and live near Fall River, Massachusetts, you couldn't find a better place or nursing / CNA staff to help you find your way home.
