Father Murray's Nursing Home in Centerline Michigan is an awful place my son has been there for 5 months and not once have they given him range of motion he was shot behind his ear on the left side of his head his clothes are wet, he does not get a Heparin shot I have not met the doctor yet my son has been there for 5 months I've asked several times can I meet the doctor and he refuses to meet with me I've never seen him I don't know what it look like I don't know anything about him he's also took my son off of his pain meds my son's body is Twisted bent up and folded up and it hurts him very badly when they put a pamper on him this is the reason why he should not have been taken off of his pain meds it's not necessary for him to take them everyday but at least when he's handled a lot when giving a shower twice a week which he does not get he's always smelly he's stinky he's nasty he's sweaty he's claiming he's bent over he smells very bad. I asked for a geriatric bed but they said he had to be 200 lb. Hes 6tf and very slinder. Iam seeking a pawyer. The staff is very poor. My phone call are ignored. One wing has only 2 Cena working the floor with over 25 to 30 patients per person someone is going to go neglected. There was broken glass in my son's room medication on the floor that didn't belong to my son.Iam a mother is has been fighting for my son's care to improve but has gotten no where. The people there at father Murry's, just dont care about human life, not at all. There are a couple of sina who do show some care and concern but, they are not there all the time. My son is handled rough. His body is so folded and bent but his condition is not a real concern of the doctor and some care people at all. Something has to be done and im doing all in my power to make that happen, My son is only 31 and unfortunately is going through Hell being in these people unprofessional care; who really don't care at all. If there is someone who can help me, please do, my e-mail is ' [email protected] I would not recommend father Murry for anyone's loved one this place is absolutely from the pit of Hell

Staff took great care of my Mom, the nurses responded to all of her needs even at night. She loved the food and didn't even want to come home when her rehab was over. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs rehab or any other nursing need.

my mother spent 5 months at this facility, they let her get very sick and another couple days she would have died, left the facility with phenonia, blot clot and septis, after a 10 day hospital stay she was transferred to another facility where she has done well for over a year, father murray was a death sentence.

Response: i agree with this person i wouldn,t take anyone i care about to this place

My Mother's floor was always dirty. They would half sweep the floors and map with old dirty water. The Social Worker, Ann Schmidt was very rude to me in person and on the phone.Other family members have complained about her but to no avail.I would go to her office but she would just blow me off. The need a new one at Father Murray.
The dietary department on two south are always in in hurry and will take the plate away even if you are not finished. At times, I have seen staff eat the left overs both nursing staff and dietary. I have visited my Mom when she was real ill at 5:00 am, and the staff were taking the residents to the dining room to sit there and wait two hours or more for breakfast. Coffee was only offered once.
There are to many feeders and I have seen the food brought into their room and trays left unopended, thus the resident did not eat. This is a daily thing.
The Activity department is a joke, there are never enough so the residents sit in their rooms. They need to get rid of the Activity manager, who is also the Social worker and hire more staff. Yes, they take them on outings, but it is the same ones that go. The bingo chips are never washed and always dirty.
The Activities on the dementia unit is the only one that has a lot of activites, but that unit does require two people to work there at all times.
St. John was aware of all these issues but they were never addressed.
I hope that the new owners of Father Murray will inprove all the issues I have stated. My Mother is still there and I go daily to make sure she is getting good care and is eating by me, not the staff. My Mother is a private pay resident, but if there are no improvements, I have no choice but to mover her.
Michael Richards is seldom on the floors, so when I and other family members complain to Ann Schmidt, she does not listen or do anything about the issues that need to be addressed.
This new company have their hands full at Father Murray, myself and other family members pray that our loved ones can get the best quality of care and also the reidents that have no family members to speak up for them.
Good luck to you and I look foward to meeting you.

Response: Don't take anyone you care about to Father Murray. This place is very filthy. It's smells of strong urine . The floors are totally filthy and beds are saturated with urine and feces. I have seen people that need to be feed not fed. Cold food. Some of the stuff are very rude and seem cold . I observed food on residents faces and filthy fingernails.
