Worse administration in Michigan - the NHA and the administration goes to Court against Our Parents often. DO NOT GO THERE, other Better Nursing Homes are near, Find them.

Response: Chelsea Retirement Community has never gone to court against Our Parents.

Chelsea NH staff is good, but Chelsea Retirement Center Administration is atrocious. They Will seek to take over your loved one's assets/finances, seek Conservator ship/Guardianship by funding lawyers, and take assets from you. Please seek other Nursing Homes as it is too dangerous to use this facility.

I completely agree, the majority of the aides, try hard and do care....but the directors leave much to be desired.

01/16/2012  -  An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes:

The aides care about the residents and do their best. But the managment is unresponsive, has cut services and is more concerned with making a profit than providing quality of care. In retrospect it was a mistake to place my mother at Chelsea.

The staff care about the residents but the management is unresponsive, does not care about the family's wishes and seems more interested in making a profit than in the quality of care they provide. In retrospect it was a wrong decision to place my mother there.
