Do not send loved ones her unless you wish they were Dead!!! They killed my mother in 2012. The State even came to her in ICU to investigate. They let her get sepsis and did nothing to help. Her doctor was called but was busy golfing. I took her to the dentist a few days prior and she was fine. On my next visit to transport her to her doctor appointment I ended up in emergency. She could barely hold her head up. They admitted her immediately. She died a week later but I still got the bill.

My Aunt is there right now , I go there a few times a week , the place is filthy. No support with staff members , she is not kept clean ,fingers nails always dirty ,no assistance when using bathroom . Her chair at first had an alarm so someone would know if she tried getting up it was removed. As I look around it looks like ALL the patients there do not have an alarm on the chairs that should have them. While I was in the dinning room ,a man fell from his chair, his head was bleeding and they let him lay there till a Aid came back with gloves which was about 3-5 minutes, then I watched as another Aid just stood there not going to assist the others to help him get up. It was the same Aid that I see on the phone during dinner hour with no assistants to patients to help them eat , as a matter of fact she was taking food off a patients tray and eating it , I work in the medical field and I have never seen such a lack of caring on many of the staff workers there. The Health Department and Medicaid and Medicare need to do an inspection of that place and check on the patients well being , most of the time they are dropping off patients dinner trays and picking them up with no food eaten . Tables are always sticky and dirty , the floors are not clean , and the whole second floor smells of feces and urine where you do not smell that on the first floor. I could go on and on about this place and I can not believe that there are no Health code violations , safety violations , and Patient care interest .

I was dismayed at the poor quality of care my mother has received at this facility. Despite her placement close to the nursing station, the staff did not respond to the call button in a timely fashion, resulting in frustration and bathroom accidents, as my mother required assistance getting to and from the bathroom. The divider curtains have what appears to be excrement wiped on them, and the attention to cleanliness of the rooms in general is extremely lacking. After noting that my mother had an "accident", she was left to sit in it for more than 25 minutes and instructed not to get up and go take care of cleaning herself up. As a result, when the call button was not answered promptly the next time, she took herself to the bathroom to avoid a repeat, and fell on the floor in the bathroom, where she lay for quite awhile before anyone came in to help her (there was no call button within easy access when she fell). Many of the staff members I came into contact with were short tempered and abrupt with the patients. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, for the above stated reasons.

Some of the staff is very caring. They do, however, have some senior nursing staff members who are prone to temper tantrums, screaming and other highly inappropriate behavior. It is clear that this facility has general staffing problems as the lower level staff members also seem to be completely over worked and there have been some inappropriate outbursts from them as well. This facility has problems with theft and misappropriation. They gave a clearly marked TV to another patient while our family member was hospitalized. A lot of his personal items disappeared as well. We were told that they would be secured and not too worry. That was not the case. This facilty seems to be inclined to keep patients that should be hospitalized on site for treatment. They make more money that way. This is not a facility for a patient with memory issues especially if the person is incapable or less inclined to speak. Our family member sustained an unexplained gash on one knee. Attention to personal hygiene was lacking; filthy teeth, fingernails and so on. Also, there was a lack of hand sanitizer and hand soap in the bathrooms. We asked repeatedly for these items to no avail. There is also inappropriate disposal of medical waste. Exam gloves were left on our family members bed. What appeared to be catheter tubing was left in the wastepaper basket. It was not used on our family member. Disgusting and inexcusable. This is a facility that is in dire need of updating. After dinner, residents are jammed into the lounge by the entrance. There is not enough room and it appears to be an uncomfortable arrangement at best. Memory patients are often put to bed for the night prior to dinner. They eat dinner in bed and stay there until the next morning. Also inappropriate; this for the convenience of the staff. Generally, this facility needs a complete makeover and change in attitude from the top down. I would never place another person here based on our experience.

The social worker is a control freak and bullies/intimidates the families. Having asked for a geriatric assessment..he lied and told me one had been done when it had not.
During the second telephone shouting match with him I had to hang up. He now wants to do a "walk through" of my mother's apartment (probably to case the joint). Something VERY suspicious going on here.
