My family has several years of experience with Houston Special Needs Center. From the very beginning my mothers physical and emotional needs were met. Knowing that she was happy and had planned activities to look forward to contributed to her over all well being. This truly was my mother’s home in her ladder years. We were blessed with her care team bringing her home from
the hospital to spend her last days in hospice in her room at her house with the people she considered her family.

Houston Special Needs Center provides independent living, nursing home, skilled nursing and hospice care services and living options for seniors. Independent living is designed for seniors who are self-reliant but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life. Tailored for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a range of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You’ll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. For seniors who need continuous, long-term medical support or short-term rehabilitation, nursing homes are a good option. The level of care depends on the medical needs of each resident, but typically residents receive nursing support and daily assistance with the activities of living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Most residents share a room, with nutritious meals offered in a central dining room. An activity director plans an activity and events plan to nurture mental, physical, and social well-being. Live at Houston Special Needs Center, where you'll experience a comfortable new beginning. There are independent living, nursing home, skilled nursing and hospice services available at this location. Independent living is designed for seniors who are self-reliant but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life. Nursing home care provides skilled care for seniors who need continuous, long-term medical attention or shorter-term rehabilitation. If you are looking for the perfect independent living, nursing home, skilled nursing and hospice services for you or a loved one, call today to find out more.
