Brookcrest is an average sized, not for profit, nursing home with 150 beds based in Grandville, MI. At last check, the facility had 117 residents indicating that it is 78% occupied which is about average within the state of Michigan. The provider accepts both medicare and medicaid programs, and provides resident counseling services.
This nursing home is located in a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). As of November 2012, the medicare rating for Brookcrest, was 4 stars, which is a better rating than 85% of nursing homes in Michigan.
We have compared the detailed Medicare data for Brookcrest with other senior care providers in Michigan. neglected Mom demanded she NOT bwe held in her chair or bed... agreed...she fell within 3 hours. THEN they found a tray that would hold her. Had told them that she had a stroke & thought she could walk....just lucky no big damage done in the fall. After that they ignored her..& she was left to wander, etc. Check up on her Early, late, etc. When she died, was informed of her death hours afterwards & THEY WANTED US (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT) to take her belongings then...etc. Lousy place


Response: My mother was at Brookcrest many years ago and it appears that not much has changed.
