The administrator and DON are rarely out of their offices. They do not round their building and are never seen on night shift. In fact there is no management on night shift!

This facility is in a beautiful, tranquil setting. It is clean inside and outside. The staff seems very friendly and polite.
    Here are the drawbacks:
    * I got a phone call at 5:30 AM from my mother stating that she needed to go to the bathroom and was extremely uncomfortable trying to hold it in because she had been waiting for a very long time for help.
When I called, the staff went to assist but by this time she had already @#$% in the bed. The bedpan was barely under her when she let loose with major diarrhea. Had I not called she would have messed in the bed too.
The room mate told us that the staff is nice but they do take their time about coming in when you need them.
    * There are no bedside tables. The nearest location for putting things such as glasses or hearing aids is on the dresser at the foot of the bed. This means unless you are able to ambulate unassisted your screwed.
    * The air conditioning does not work properly. During the day it was uncomfortably warm and at night it was so cold that the staff wore coats and my mother needed 5 blankets to get warm.
    * My mother will not be back in this facility when she has her other surgery. There is a reason it only has a two star medicare rating I wish I would have paid attention and took her around the corner to Marywoods which has a five star rating.
