I would not recommend taking any family member or friend here for long term or short term rehab. Staff is stretched thin. Aide are running around not able to answer calls in a timely manner because they have to many patients. Spoke to the aides and they were saying they had up to 16 patients and the nurse had 21. So while they are trying to serve meals, bath, toilet or dress one patient; they would end up with five other patients that have lights going off to. More patients are falling or bed sore because response times are so high. I had my family member waiting 30 mins with their call light on just to use the bathroom. Take your love ones some place else.

my parent has been in and out of this facility several times since broken back 2 yrs ago- this time I am absolutely sure she needs to go somewhere else for any future needs-how disappointing is it that after a visit I get a call from my parent stating she still hadn't ate dinner at 7:30 pm!! And after calling medilodge to find out why dinner was so late and she hadn't even got her protein shake as prescribed inbetween lunch and dinner I was directed to the nurses station (no-one answered) and then I requested the kitchen only to find out her dinner was not picked up and taken to her and had sat for an hour waiting for someone to do so!!OMG..I also have run into the old excuse one to many times"we were so busy" and not enough help for so many "intakes"-, again, OMG!!! and this is rated 4 stars my medicare!!! Another thing-toilet,bathroom filthy but I will say its the first time I have also witnessesd a roach on the floor. Please take your loved one somewhere else if they require to much care. PS.,My parent ended up with a cold cheese sandwich for dinner today.

I would Never Recommend Or Use This Facility Again. The Staff Treats You Like You Are Bothering Them. They Are Very Unfriendly And Uncaring. We Tried To Find A Nursing Aide And Was Told By Another Aide To Look In The back room Because My Mothers Aide Likes To Hide There To Avoid Work. My Mother Had A
diabetic Seizure And Was Given A Glass Of Water After Another Patient Found Her Help. She Rang Her Buzzer For Over Ten Mins. Her Nurse Told Us I Guess I Should of Checked My Buzzers. They Dont Check On The Patients Regularly. My Mom HasTo Go For Hours Before Getting help To The Bathroom. They Dont Make Sure The patients Eat. Horrible, Horrible Care, Compassion And Little Concern. The Staff Are Busy Playing Games On The Computers At Night. We Worried The Whole Time Our Mother Was There. I Would Of Rated A Zero If I Could.

The care was excellent! The facility was exceptionally clean, the staff was extemely polite and helpful. The food was good and if you did not like what was brought to you, they would bring you something different. PT and OT was an hour each day M-F and one hour on Sat. and Sun. The equipment was more than adequate. This was the only facility I toured with showers in the private bathrooms. Laundry was included without an additional charge. I was comfortable leaving my loved one there without going to see him for days and knew he was being treated well and safe. Big! Huge for me! They were able to get special medications other facilities could not. I would highly recommend and I am hard to please! Great job! Thank you to all.

Nursing care facilities cater to several types of patients: some patients require short-term rehab while recovering from surgery; others require long-term nursing and medical supervision. In addition, some nursing homes offer specialized care programs for Alzheimer's or other illnesses, or short-term respite care for frail or disabled persons when a family member requires a rest from providing care in the home. Please note that you can help compare nursing homes by looking at the Medicare ratings of a given facility (Medicare has a 5-star rating system for comparing nursing homes). There are various ways for paying for care in a nursing home. Make sure you know your loved one's Medicare and Medicaid eligibility, and understand how you can use tools like long term care insurance to pay for nursing home care.

Also, Medilodge of Milford is an assisted living facility. Assisted living facilities are an apartment-style habitat designed to focus on providing assistance with daily living activities. They provide a higher level of service for the elderly which can include preparing meals, housekeeping, medication assistance, laundry, and also do regular check-in's on the residents. Basically, they are designed to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing home facilities. When thinking about how to pay for care, assisted living facilities are generally less expensive than nursing homes, if assisted living is a viable option for your loved one.

Also, Medilodge of Milford is a Micro community, which means it is a smaller senior community. Some people prefer it for its smaller less institutional setting.
