my mother went in with a bedsore and one day I went up there to have dinner with my mom, it looked like she was chewing gum, i took her down to the dinner hall and asked the aid to get the gum out of her mouth, and it was a used bandage from her wound dressing, the nurse couldn't find it and left the room and my mom ate it. they said they called poison control so a few days later we asked what poison control said and they said we were bullying. and my mother shares a room but they are charging for a single, then they cash her s.s checks and still ask for the money and i show them they already have cashed it, they ask when they will receive it, i had to file a complaint, and her bedsore is back. Im very concerned about her safety, looking for another place.

This is the worst place that I've seen yet. The room was filthy when we arrived for check in. We ended up having to clean the room ourselves even after having housekeeping in 3 times to do it. I have yet to arrive to see that anyone has checked on my father to see that he is doing as he is supposed to. Feet up and oxygen on. The wound dressing changes are not always done correctly... arrived to find that the dressings were acting more like tourniquets which runs the danger of causing blood clots. You must ask the staff over and over and double check on everything that they say they will do, as you arrive to find that they didn't do things like they said they would. It's been ridiculous so far. The food service is slow and the food is usually cold by the time the residents get it.
