They seem to think that drugs are a good way to deal with residents. Some of the Staff and Aides are fantastic but management only cares about one thing....get those beds filled and don't take responsibility for their negligence. They are more concerned about their jobs then caring for the residents. Their rehab and activity department is out standing but the day to day care is fair to partly cloudy.

The best place to work as well as the most loving and caring staff.

When State is present for review it is totally different than normal. Everyone acts and works within their guidelines and rules. When state leaves, the infection control and care of residents drops. *Recent Past Employee*

Response: This is an unfair portrayal of a very beautiful and caring facility and the staff. We work hard on a daily basis to provide our residents with the highest quality of life. And would this recent "past employee" be an employee that was terminated because she/he was not the "quality" employee that we want in our facility? Anyone is welcome to come visit on any day and time and see for yourself what an outstanding home we have. Or better yet, come visit and speak to residents and their families. This is the best way to judge. And look at our recent survey, 4 minor citations. That is way below the Michigan average as well as the national average.

Response: There are a handful of spectacular people working at the facility. Truth is, that they are outweighed by the ones that are lazy and only there to get a paycheck.
Telling a resident that has been waiting in line for 45 mins that the bathroom is full when no one is in there, leaving a resident in their excrement for HOURS, or hastily shoveling a few spoonfuls of food into a mouth of someone who can't feed themselves claiming that they didn't want anymore, is hardly acceptable. Alarms going off and not being answered on a timely basis, request ignored and poor assessments of resident accidents is reprehensible.WAKING UP RESIDENTS and ROLLING THEM OUT OF BED AT 5am for a 8:00 breakfast is deplorable!
