Would not take my worse enemy to this place! The staffing was horrible and and my father ended up sick and died. Now 16 months after he passed away Medilodge sends us a bill saying we owe them money! Wow 16 months?

Animals treated better. I guess if bed sores, slop to eat & unskilled staff fits it would be ok. Otherwise DO NOT PUT A LOVED ONE HERE! Run for the hills.

The staff does not interact with the residents and when someone moves into the nursing home, no medical information is asked by the nursing home or staff members. The staff goes by information from a 3 day stay at a hospital.

If you love or care about your family member, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER HERE!!! Within 2 weeks my grandmother fell while unsupervised, with the result of a collapsed lung, she did not get her medications, she needs assistance to eat, there fore she did not eat, she contracted an oral infection, was handled aggressively by the x-ray technician, and when I tried to talk to the nurse, I was blown off without a care, when I called Bunny, the supervisor, I never received a return call, and when I spoke with the social worker I was supposed to hear from someone to confirm the issues that were explained. Needless to say, that didn't happen either. We quickly realized we would have to remove her from the facility (AMA) before something detrimental would take place.

absolutely the worst care ever! Appearances hide how bad this place really is. Nurses always changing, no continuity in care. ONE AIDE WAS EXPECTED TO FEED 4-5 FEEDING PATIENTS AT A TIME IN 20 MINUTES. My mom was a high risk for choking and could only handler tiny bites. Everytime I observed her being feed she was choking or refusing food because she had just choked. I ended up going to feed her every day, when she began losing massive amounts of weight. She was also set in wheelchairs for hours at a time, with no one to shift her position. Constant bed sores. They refused to wash her clothes in separate wahers with detergent that would not break her out in blisters due to skin sensitivites. I ended up having to do all her laundry on a day to day basis and then they would still put their hospital gowns on her even when she had her own which I had washed. Nurseing aids were rude, rough, and and beligerant. I never went to visit and found her happy, or dry. CLothes were always soiled and soaked!

Whenever I visited my mother there was never the same nurse on duty and no one really knew her or could answer quetions regarding her care. Everyone was rushing around because they were chronicly under staffed. For example they'd wake her up and put her in a wheelchair at 5am every mornig even though breakfast wasn't till 7am. Please even senile people should be able to sleep in if they want. Would never reccomend this place. Do your homework and go somewhere else.
