If you want your loved one to die, this is the place to send them. With the exception of Yolanda, the staff is very lazy and unresponsive to the patient's needs. My Father was here for three weeks to get better to go home, instead he got worse and passed away. When he would ask for another blanket because he was cold, it would take several hours for him to get one. He was supposed to be receiving breathing treatments every six hours, he was lucky to get one per week. There is one nursing assistant who is extremely lazy. When my Dad would ask for something, she would reply she will get someone to take care of it. All she did was walk back and forth in the hall doing nothing. With all that walking, you'd think she'd be thin instead of overweight. My Dad was supposed to be on a low sodium, heart healthy diet, they would serve ham sandwiches, chicken ala king, etc. All high in sodium and definitely not heart healthy. They have the patients write down food dislikes and likes, they always served him what he didn't like. The staff is there to collect a paycheck and that is it. They have poor bedside manners and show they don't care about the patients. I am surprised the state of Michigan has investigated this place. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONE GO HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO GET BETTER! I have filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General's office.

My mother is a resident and she is getting good care.
She told me they treat her wonderful in there. Whenever I go to visit her, I watch the staff and I can honestly say they seem very concerned for all the patients and do their best to care for them. I am glad I chose Autumn Woods Health Facility to place my mother whom I love dearly and want for the best care she deserves. Kudos to the staff at Autumn Woods.

Response: which floor is she on?

This place is a nightmare. Substandard care. CNA's do not want to do their jobs; always trying to put it off so the next shift has to do it. Feces left in bedside commode for 7 hours even though patient and family member asked for it to be disposed of.
Medication disappeared twice due to negligence or staff theft. Takes an average of 1.5 hours to get assistance once the call bell has been rung. Thirty minutes for the CNA to answer, another hour before the nurse comes in. I was there for physical therapy for a broken bone and feel sorry for those who do not have a voice. A complaint to the state has been made. Avoid this faciility at all costs.

Response: whole heartedly agree with you It is a nightmare

My grandmother is a resident at this nursing home. She has had multiple injuries here due to poor staff. The nursing assistants hired here, besides a few, do not care about their jobs and take it out on patients. While visiting, we have witnessed patient's being dropped, on their heads. My grandmother was dropped 2 times on her head. Never received a phone called. Didn't know about the incident until visiting her the next day. She just got out of surgery for shattered bones in her leg. The hospital was questioning abuse. She is in her 80's, severe dementia, unable to speak, and unable to walk or move due to strokes. We know these injuries are related to her "acting out" as someone suggested. Be perpared to examine your loved one on your daily visits to make sure nothing is wrong with him/her. Yes, the staff does dress and get the patient's up daily; however the staff also is not properly trained to do so and in the process hurts the residents. Horrible nursing home. It is too bad our elders cannot receive the care they are entiled to. For the cost one pays for services like this, it is a shame.
