I would not recommend this place. My mother was placed her and fell within a week of her placement. We were told that it can take up to two hours before a resident is actually checked, so she could have been laying on the floor for that length of time. They told us that we would have to find someone ourselves to stay with her as they were not responsible. The staff was under trained and often under staffed. As it unfortunately is the case with nursing facilities, the cream of the crop are often hired at hospitals, and places such as this will frequently hire them just to fill the need. The staff often made comments when they were asked about my mother "Oh, I have never met her before, so I don't know her." When I first saw my mother, she was a zombie, with tremors on her left side due to being over-medicated. I spoke to the nursing supervisors on different occasions, and one actually stated the obvious saying that they were a for profit place and they were abiding by the minimal standards of care. Indeed. Perhaps they would do better to take care of pets instead of people, because the minimal standards of care exhibited were pathetic. The only good that came out of my mother falling was that we took her out of this place after her hospitalization. Save yourself some grief and look elsewhere for care.

The best care you will get in this facility is from the nurses' aides. They are literally the only ones who work around there. Most of the staff in the facility could care less about the patient or the patient's well being. The physical therapy is horrible. They have admitted on more than one occasion that they cannot properly do their job. The times I have dropped by during the day to visit, I walked by the therapy room and observed all of the therapists sitting around socializing while elderly and disabled patients were doing their exercises on their own. This was not just a one day observation, this was everytime I walked by the therapy room during the week. I doubt it highly that i just happen to catch them on their off days. Also, I have heard the conversation and it has nothing to do with the patients. It is usually regarding their weekend or the night before. If you think for one second you will get anywhere by talking with a doctor, you are wrong. I am still trying to figure out how the doctor in this facility has a license to practice medicine. She let my father go with an infection for 3 weeks before finally doing something about it. Because of her negligence he ended up back in the hospital for 4 weeks and eventually in ICU. If something does something wrong and you bring it to the attention of the staff, they blame everyone but themselves, usually the poor nurses aides take the blame for something that isn't their responsibility. To top it off during discharge you get to deal with their incompetent caseworkers, who could care less about anything. All around this facility is horrible, unless you are going there just to sit around all day, I wouldn't recommend this place. Even then I'm not sure I would since you are very likely to get an infection. Which my father has had many since he has been in there. He was infection free prior to coming to the facility.
