I welcome those looking for a facility to take a tour of the building and speak with the staff. There are new owners and management who truly care about the people living here and want to make the facility a great place. Please do not base a decision solely on one previous staff's review.

After working here I saw how poor of an environment this place is for seniors. As much as I would have like to stay to make a difference for the seniors, I had nursing school classes to worry about and working here was adding stress to my life. Nursing management does not work with employees and their school schedule. The nursing director would not let me off or switch shifts so that I could go to a final exam for a class. Every time the schedule came out I was scheduled on days I had school. The schedule comes out for only a 2 week period at a time, and does not allow for planning. I was scheduled for every holiday. How many holidays you are required to work was not clearly stated in the employee handbook. Every employee I spoke with told me something different on how many were required. Worst of all I saw nursing management treat families and residents poorly. A situation that should have been discussed privately with the resident and family was done publicly in the dining room with other residents, staff, and family members around. Do not send your loved one here or work here.

Response: I Agree that one wants to stay to try and make it a better place. I can only take so much. This place is a joke, everyone there will agree
