Unbelievable schedule system for nursing assistants. Not sure how they survive and keep well staffed. Their policy has overnight nursing assistants frequently doing double shifts or 16 hours of continuous work and sometimes without advanced warning. So, if someone calls in and can't work the next day, the overnight employee has to cover ("lowest on the totum pole"). Plans they may have had, sorry, not happening. They are then forced to stay to cover the shift vacated by the day staff person who decided to take a day off. Quality of care? You tell me how effective you would be after 10 hours plus of that kind of work? This policy needs to be reworked for the workers, their families, and for the residents!
