The 5 star rating is calculated mostly by self reported data by the facility. The last state inspection was april 2011. The surveyors ended up staying longer than usual due to the high volume of complaints against the facility. GLC is a "for profit" corporation which puts the resident's health care in jeopardy. Staffing is at bare minimum, resulting in neglected care. Supplies are ordered according to a set budget, including but not limited to briefs(adult diapers), sanitary wipes, toothettes for oral hygiene, meds & medical supplies. The management is rude & rarely available if needed. The director of social services is not a licensed social worker. The management is corrupted & will lie for each other & do whatever it takes to cover for each other to avoid diciplinary actions. Any employee who addresses the corruption is harrassed till they quit or get fired. Residents fear retaliation if they complain. Inaccurate charting of medical records. Care plans are not followed. Very limited activities for the residents. Air quality during the summer is unbearable. GLC always has a low census of residents, while other facilities have waiting lists. Any questions???
