05/18/2014 An Interested Visitor Writes: There has been a recent change in management with staff at many levels leaving, new ones all the time. The food used to be good, but is now tasteless, and not cooked properly. Nursing assistants come into residents apartments and fall asleep on their furniture, or use stalling while invading residents privacy. ( an assistant spending 10 minutes washing 4 dishes when not in the apartment for that type of task) Speak up for what you pay for, because it appears Meridian is going the way of many others- the bottom line!

07/14/2012 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: My grandmother lives here and it is wonderful. I agree with the poster who said it is for independent adults, that is true. For those who need social activities, meals and a safe environment it is wonderful. The food is absolutely fabulous and nutritious. If I needed an assisted living this is the place I would want to be. Also, the gardens are gorgeous and they have a lot of outings and entertainment.

05/24/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: Let's be clear...this a an apartment complex for seniors that are fully independent. If you or a loved one needs ANY assistance, this is NOT the place. My 89 year old mother and our family had a truly awful experience over the past 3 years, ending May, 2011. They had no problem charging us for housecleaning and everything else they could come up with, when in fact, their cleaning crew was terrible. Urine smell throughout the apartment was never dealt with. Dirty floors, dust, trash was never handled, yet we received a bill every week. If you or your loved one have difficulty walking, bathing, communicating, keeping track of meds, you would be well advised to go somewhere else.

01/13/2011 An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes: The most incredible staff! Nursing assistance far exceeds expectations. More like a lovely home with beautiful common areas, bright and charming dining room, and best of all a staff that treats the residents as family. The residents are engaged and very welcoming. Resident chefs make all the food from scratch and they will gladly prepare special diets. The food was so delicious that our whole family truly enjoyed dining at Meridian. My mother was truly happy there.
