Description of Plantation Pointe Retirement Community in COLUMBUS, MS

Built In 1998 , Number of Beds : 140

Plantation Pointe is a professional care community in a quiet residential area of Columbus, MS. This property offers individualized assisted living, independent living, nursing home, skilled nursing and rehab services. When seeking a long-term care solution, assisted living is geared toward individuals who want to live with some level of independence but need assistance. There are many reasons for living in an assisted living community. Research suggests that seniors who live near their peers and have a variety of social activities feel a greater sense of well-being. Assisted living provides senior-friendly housing and a caring staff. Other services you'll find include around-the-clock supervision and security, access to professional nurses, emergency call systems, help with daily living, and nutritious meals prepared by chefs. These communities typically provide linen service, housekeeping, transportation, and a calendar of social events. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life, independent living is the ideal choice. Tailored for both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as retirement villages, 55+ communities, and senior apartments. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a variety of community amenities, services, and programs tailored just for seniors. You’ll enjoy your own space, so you can bring your favorite belongings, such as furniture and personal items. With independent living, residents won't have to worry about maintenance, mowing, or other chores associated with home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. You'll find many social programs and community amenities, such as gardening, bridge, bingo, fitness programs, book clubs, and planned outings. For seniors who need continuous, long-term medical support or short-term rehabilitation, nursing homes are a good option. The level of care depends on the medical needs of each resident, but typically residents receive nursing support and daily assistance with the activities of living, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Most residents share a room, with nutritious meals offered in a central dining room. An activity director plans an activity and events plan to nurture mental, physical, and social well-being. Plantation Pointe is a community where you'll experience a comfortable new beginning with a dedicated staff. In this community, residents find a full range of assisted living, independent living, nursing home, skilled nursing and rehab services, as well as a helpful, caring staff. Assisted living offers help on an as-needed basis, with the goal of supplying the support required to stay as self-reliant as possible. For seniors who can care for themselves but who want to enjoy a low-maintenance life, independent living is the ideal choice. Nursing home care provides skilled care for seniors who need continuous, long-term medical attention or shorter-term rehabilitation. At Plantation Pointe, find the ideal services and amenities you need to live comfortably.
