User Reviews

I notice that most of the other reviews on here were more than 2 years old. My mother was recently there and we were very pleased. There are always different personalities among staff, meaning that you will like some better than others. However, all were attentive and helpful. Most were "perky" and pleasant to be around. The therapists were wonderful, even when mom was disagreeable. The food was above average compared to all the other facilities that we have unfortunately had to be involved with the last few years. We were there longer than most, and saw many come and go, and everyone we talked to was very pleased with their care and rehab. I would recommend it highly.

It's amazing some of the complaints on here. I had a family member stay here several times, the staff were very nice and friendly. They take pride in their jobs. I must say, that I have been this is one of the best facilities in the Jackson Metro area. The place is very clean and the food is excellent. I have noticed throughout one of several visits, that there are other returning residents that love this place. It's good to see familiar faces! This place is highly recommended, but you know, there's always negative people that have bad reviews, mainly the same people that bring their loved one's back to this facility over and over again.Especially, the one's that wants to take their loved ones and drop them off, because they have no compassion for their family members, so they blame the staff because they feel guilty of neglecting their loved one's. Overall, I love this place and would highly recommend to anyone needing care physical therapy. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home!

Response: My mom is here now and the attendant left her on the toilet this morning and did not return for over one hour and wasps very rude when she returned. I will be talking with the administration soon.

Agree with most of the writers. The staff is RUDE! I had one of the aides yell at me as well at my loved one! I also had clothes stolen --got excuses like " you check in the dirty laudry or check in the laudry!" Then all of a sudden when I told them that my family noticied clothing missing then most of the clothes "appeared"! Also, we had family here to visit our loved one and one of the nurses aides came in and using foul language-- "F" worded, "s" word in front of our family members and our loved one that is "being" taken care of in this facility? This IS UNCALLED FOR!!

I would not recommend sending a loved one to Wisteria Gardens. It was highly recommended. I haven't seen why yet. My grandmother was a patient there after surgery. The day we arrived there, nursing staff was super nice. The first night she was there, she called nurse to room to help her up to go to restroom. The nurse never came and my grandmother fell trying to get up. She was on the floor hollering for nurse which didn't come because they couldn't hear her. When someone finally came in, it was like she had done something wrong. When you are admitted, they say they will give them a bath and get them dressed and make it all sound great. Not true at all!!! The nurses do not check on patients like they should. The nurses are rude. I would not recommend sending anyone to this facility.

When u come to a place like this u expect the staff to be nice after surgery. Well, don't come here if u want that. They trreated my grandmother very ugly. They had a very loud tone when she needed something. There was a time that they even said what do u want this time and don't hollar when she yelled with pain for them jerking her leg to move it. The rn is great, but nurse assistant s are something.even thoughh I don't like to complain I mentioned to the manager and he was extremely nice and said it would for sure be addressed. But it is clean and they have great food. Most if the people are nice

Like most places, the care on the weekends is bad. I checked on my mom every day, sometimes twice a day, but pity the poor souls who have no one to feed them their meals or get them out of bed. My biggest complaint is how UNFRIENDLY the staff is. NO ONE is willing to help you with ANYTHING. They will not speak when you walk in. Just plain rude sometimes. If you need something (ice, a cup, wheelchair), better go try to get it yourself. My mom thought the food was good. We both thought the physical therapy was good. It's wonderful to have private rooms. No TVs, even though we called and were told they did. Bring your own. Rent a phone for $12 a month, which is fine. Just don't expect any "extras" physically or emotionally. It's a quiet place, sits off the road so no noise, and pretty private. It's probably the newest of all these type facilities in the Jackson/metro area.
