Talked my mother out of ever going to St. Catherines Village as to the crookedness within the walls of this place. They have had two administrators fired now over the years (one about 2 years ago) for embezzlement, taking money under the table from contractors building the new homes on site and stealing not only money but drugs from patients. Security is very crooked as its a team of "let go" police officers from both local jackson, madison and ridgeland police departments, so do not think St. Catherines is safe. How would you fill if the head man over security actually pulled a gun from a lower leg holster and pointed at you laughing screaming **** you over and over. Real funny you fat ugly dick. I think his name is Ken based on me asking around
(nicknamed skintags). Please read these jerks name badges and be careful as they have been known to be very rude to any blacks coming in, mainly employees. I am black and have witnessed this racial profiling behaviour myself. St. Catherines also is HIGHLY racist as they do everything to keep out blacks in fear of they won't get their money.
Highland homes is so much newer and nicer of a facility and it not leaking into the rooms through an unkempt building. I know too many people I visit at St. Catherines that moved in, found out they were lied to about nearly everything. Other comments I read on their ratings page are all true. My friends out there wish they had never moved in there in the first place. NOTHING ever happens when the residents request changes in food quality and other requests for proper repair and upkeep of the building. My one good friend lives on the 3rd floor and has been there at least 8 years now and every time it rains her and several other apartments flood, with another LYING PROMISE to have it fixed. That never happens. The only reason I am posting this on Highland Homes website as the user review page has been damaged somehow on St. Catherines site where it can not be read or enter data. I bet the crooks at St. Catherines had this done by request or done by one of the computer hackers at St. Dominics Hospital (who St. Catherines). Since they require all your families members personal data, funny thing, about a week later my mothers social security number was stolen and now she is a victim of identity theft. I talked to a personal friend of mine at St. Dominics and she told me this happens alot with there computer system within St. Dominics and St. Catherines. STAY AWAY FROM ST. CATHERINES!!! AS WELL AS ST. DOMINICS HOSPITAL.

My mother was in Highland Home for therapy after a knee replacement. The staff was helpful, thoughtful and kind to my mother. The facility was clean and the surroundings were lovely. The staff responded to every request we made.

Response: very poor administration and quality the nurses were lazy so were the cna's ,my farther in law laid in the bed in wet diapers and had gotten pnenemoia and tried telling family he was not sick i thru a fit and got him to the hospital and needed to be there of course as i said he had pnemonia, they dont care about the people in the home its all about money which is bs,so dont ever take your loved on there they will get crappy care and probably die because they are lazy ,sorry people that dont give a ----!!!!

Response: My aunt has been in this home for about two years. I talk to her every day so I can vouch that every word this person said is the absolute truth. Cold hearted staff! My aunt is very frail but her mind is good.....she is very aware of the situation she is in. I live in another state and feel helpless.

I have spoken with the staff at Highland Homes a number of times about the care of my mother. On a number of occasions I have visited and found her still in her pajama top or bottom under her clothes, no bra, and without her dentures. She had already had breakfast and was waiting for lunch. I wrote the administrator regarding my concerns and asked for a reply. I have yet to receive a response. They keep saying they will do better, but they don't.

Response: things come up missing ,people that are supost to take care of your loved ones there are sorry ang lazy ,they dont feed them edible food half the time ,dont give them baths i can go on and on ,this is a sorry place and should be closed down

My mother was over medicated, undermedicated by a doctor who never checked on her. She died in the hospital due to her medication not being regulated. She was mistreated, abused, photos were taken and then they disappeared from her file. Her stuff was stolen at various times. It was a horrible experience and was told by the investigator that we needed a lawyer. It was so bad that after my mother's death, a nurse aid called and informed the attorney general of the abuse and neglect.
