The trash in the room is not emptied daily - there has been an accumulation of dishes with uneaten food left in the room for more than a day. Add to that a fly in the room and the impression is not good.
There was a black ooze from one of the red trash cans in his room. I cleaned it up one day using paper towels, informed the nursing station of the situation, and when I returned the next day, the towels I had left to soak up any continuing discharge were still on the floor next to the trash can.
He is not being walked around the facility. He is there in order to get some physical therapy and hopefully return home - he is not getting it.
The staff has been very nice and my Dad likes them very much. However, these problems are difficult to overlook - especially at $4690.00 per month.
