I have a family member currently living in the Assisted Living side of The Villas. The individual apartments have a serious temperature control problem (rooms stay too hot in summer, and too cold in winter). The building's maintenance department doesn't seem able to fix the recurring problem. The dining hall has also gone downhill in the past couple of years...many of the residents do NOT enjoy their meals. The residents seem very happy with the nursing/caregiving staff. Bathtubs do not get cleaned regularly.

My mother was at The Villas for several years up until she passed, we were very happy with her care and the facility staff, we only had 1 episode of a staff member being rude and that was handled immediately by the supervising nurse. They were very kind to the family as we stayed at our mothers bedside until her passing. It has a very welcoming family feel, because it is small you get to know everyone and the staff not only have the time to spend with the people that live there but also with the family members that come in to visit. I have always recommended this facility to family and friends. I never say any mistreatment of residents, and there was always some kind of activity going on. I read the review that was posted here and how it compared this home to others in the area and in the paragraph where it talked about people spending to much time in bed or losing control of their bowels, i nver seen that at this home, they are very active in trying to keep the people up and going - not quite sure where the previous poster got their information.

The staff at Villas Residential Care Apartments is ready to offer personalized in-home care whenever your loved one needs assistance. Providing a variety of helpful elder services, such as medication reminders, light housekeeping, and groooming assistance, in-home care professionals are available around-the-clock. You'll also find independent living, in-home care and rehab services provided by this community. This community, a comprehensive independent living community, allows you to do as you wish, when you wish, but without the burdens of home ownership that can tie you down and take up your time. Serving both individuals and couples, these senior communities are also known as senior apartments, retirement villages, and communities for 55 and older. Residents stay in private apartments or individual homes with a variety of community amenities, services, and programs tailored specifically for seniors. Your personal belongings, such as furniture and favorite mementos, can move to your new home with you. With maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping taken care of, seniors can focus on goals and passions instead of the daily demands of home ownership. Because independent living communities are intended for older adults who need little or no assistance, most do not offer medical care or supervision. Community services and amenities usually include fitness clubs, dining facilities, swimming pools, golf courses, hiking trails, social events, and more. Some seniors, as they age and begin to need assistance, simply do not wish to leave the place they’ve called home for many years. Sometimes they bought their dream home upon retirement. Sometimes it is the house where they raised their children and watched their families grow up. For them, the walls and floors resonate with memories. A caring, in-home staff understands this and is dedicated to making seniors as comfortable and as satisfied as they can possibly be. Services are available twenty-four-hours a day, seven days a week. Home care includes various medical and non-medical support services. For many seniors, home care allows them to stay independent for as long as possible. With independent living, you can do as you wish, when you wish, but without the burdens of home ownership that can take up your time. In-home care is an option for seniors when they need it. Care professionals will bring their expertise and experience to your home. This choice is perfect for those who would like to stay in their homes but who need some help with the daily activities of living. These services, available 24 hours a day, every day, are paid for by the individual or through public and private funding sources, such as Medicare and/or Medicaid.
