My mom was cared for here until she passed by loving people. I miss seeing Simon the dog everyday.

From the lady at the front desk to the servers in the dining room, from the maintenance director to the kind care staff...every person I met smiled and made me feel welcome. The energy in this building is filled with so much life and happiness. I encourage everyone to go for a visit!!! It is definitely worth the trip!!!

I too work here at the Meadowlands and haven't thought for a minute that we are underpaid and overworked. People that actually care about helping others are very hard to find and I see many in the staff at the Meadowlands. The food truely is delicious, I eat there everyday and have never tried something I did not like. People that disagree have obviously never tried other communities entrees because it's not even close.

Response: I have witnessed caring and loving staff working with residents at the Meadowlands. I have also witnessed staff going above and beyond to help residents. I think it's sad that individuals can use such passive aggressive means to destroy and humiliate hard working people.

Facility is great, beautiful... care is awful, no one knows what is going on, no one reads charts, medication is given when the staff feels neccessary, not when orders say... room wasn't cleaned for a week, father wasn't given a shower for a week. It is an awful place, with even worse care.

03/16/2010  -  An Family Member of Current/Past Resident Writes:

They neglect the patients particularly on night shift. Little to no night supervision. Dimentia patients are neglected during day and night. Complaints have been made to State of Missouri, they have taken no measures to address the neglect. Whenever state reviews one facility, they always call ahead and tell the other nursing homes that State is in the area. There is no real desire to find the deficiencies. This facility needs to have a private undercover person review their care. The facility is beautiful. The care at night is terrible.

Response: I can't believe we are talking about the same place. We have found NOTHING to complain about. The staff is highly trained and caring. I have never seen neglect, either day or night!

Response: The above complaint about neglect is totally false. I work at The Meadowlands and I would have my mother live there and I would totally live there! We do not get a heads up when state is in the area so that is untrue also. So I think the person who complained needs to find out the facts.

Response: The administrators of this facility are unprofessional, they are not honest and they are only out for the money. The director of nursing has no experience; and neither do the others that work there. The only people that seem to know what they are doing are the nurses and CNAs. No one there seems to know how to properly run a nursing facility. They fire employees without proper cause, and the employees that do work there are severely overworked and underpaid. There is not enough staff for all the patients that they have. Its not an assisted living facility; its a skilled nursing facility. I think state should have that place shutdown

Response: I totally agree to this party's comments
