We recently had to have my mother at Bethesda Southgate in Hospice. She initially entered into the Rehab area and the entire staff was excellent. We had to move her to the nursing home side on Hospice and Mom was treated so well, she even commented that everyone there was so nice and good to her. Eventually, Mom went into one of the two Hospice Suites and the regular nursing staff and the Hospice staff were above and beyond excellent in treating and caring for her. No one wants to put a loved one in a nursing home facility but the people who work at Bethesda Southgate are like family and dear friends, they are as concerned about the family members as they are about the patients. I thank God we found this facility, it allowed us to have peace knowing Mom was so well cared for.

To anyone looking at Southgate, I work there are would like to make a few corrections....We are a 180 bed skilled nursing facility with a 24 bed medicare-a unit (short term for patients needing rehab after surgery, illness, fall, etc) and a locked Alzheimers unit. I love it here and would put my family members here, we have employees whose family members are currently here.
