User Reviews

10/24/2011  -  An OurParents User Writes:

It's a beautiful, well maintained building but once you get past that, there are a number of serious issues.
My mother was a resident there and was treated well, until she got sick. They have pull cords on the bedroom wall and the bathroom wall. My mom had a heart attack this summer and it took them ten minutes to arrive. I was there at the time and there response was pitiful. Even when they arrived, they were very slow to react. I wonder to this day how much that affected my mom's recovery.
Once in the hospital, Fountain View continued to charge my mom full price on room and board. Even though she was no longer receiving housekeeping or food on a daily basis, Fountain View did not have a contigency plan to show compassion to a member of their community who was ill. When approached about this issue, they should even less compassion.
When choosing a facility for a loved one, one of the most important things it that you know they are safe and treated with compassion. Fountain View fails on both counts.
