Having had parents in the facility for short term rehab and restoration--and long term skilled "nursing"--there is a HUGE difference in the level of care. Decent facility for rehab--terrible for long term. Walk around the halls before you commit-or go on a weekend and talk to the family's of residents. Wish I would have. Go to Hillcrest for long term-rather than be disappointed by Papillion Manor.

On November 30th, Papillion Manor was officially awarded the 2009 Quality Life award. VHS President, Jack Vetter, presented this award to the team members during a very special ceremony. Papillion Manor was one of two recipients, out of 33 facilities, to be presented this prestigious award.

The Quality Life award focuses on the commitment that we will create a living environment that radiates love, peace, spiritual contentment, dignity and safety while encouraging personal independence.

We adapted a more purpose driven approach to our Life Enrichment programs: “not to kill time, but to make time live; not to keep a person occupied, but to keep them refreshed; not to offer an escape from life, but to provide a discovery of life.” We also focused on the resident’s satisfaction with their dining experience.

We want to thank everyone for making this possible. We believe wholeheartedly that all we do we all do, and that we are the mission, vision, and values of this facility. We also want to thank the Quality Award team for all their preparation for the special ceremony. The team members had a wonderful afternoon and it was truly an honor to share this with all of you.

Response: "Our family would like to let you know how much we appreciate and were impressed with your facility. We wanted our grandmother to be in a place where she was not just a patient in a bed. Your facility was spotless and wonderfully decorated. The care she received was outstanding. The nurses found time to get to know our grandmother. These amazing nurses even cared for our mother by offering her a place to rest and words of kindness. We cannot thank you enough."

My Mom went here for Physical Therapy. They are TERRIBLE to Medicare patients. The Phys Therapist actually booted my Mom out AGAINST DR. ORDERS and the PT person said ALOUD that she had to make sure "they were paid". My Mom had Medicaid as well - they would have been paid That was not enough for them as Medicaid does not give them full price. They are ALL about money and ONLY about money. When my Mom left this place she had malnutrition, anemia, a bladder infection and her heart was in A-fib. She went in just needing PT for two injuries from a fall. She came out and ended up at the hospital within 2 days where she died a month later. If you want a place that cares about people not just money - do NOT send anyone you care about to Papillion Manor.

Response: I enjoyed my stay at Papillion Manor. All the staff were friendly and took very good care of me! The meals were good. The therapy girls were kind and considerate and professional. I'll miss the friendly cheery smiles!

Response: I came here on my birthday and got 2 birthday greetings and nice decorations! The people, from the management, staff and kitchen, were great. Therapy worked well to get me where I am so I could go home! Thank you to all. I would strongly recommend Papillion Manor to others.

Response: I enjoyed my stay. I made many new friends both in patients and in staff. I definately would recommend Papillion Manor to others.

Response: I want to thank everyone for the wonderful care that was given to my mom while she was at the manor. The staff was greatly exceptional giving mom everything she needed for her to get better. She felt very secure and loved by all that took care of her. Thank you all so very much.

Response: I have been very pleased with my staf here. The employees are helpful and friendly and always accomidating. They therapy has accomplished it's purpose and I am going home!

Response: Having fractured my patella, this is the first experience in a facility of this kind. The staff, office, and nursing aides are professional, pleasant and kind. If one needs to be in a place like this, it is the best- One cannot ask for a better rehab group!

Response: I could not ask for more! The staff was great! The food was great! Therapy was excellent - never pushed too hard and kept the routine varied. My room was kept clean and comfortable. Office staff was extremely helpful. I'm so glad Dr. Brown pushed me to take this detour. Best of all there is no odor in the Manor!
