If you don't care send your loved ones to life care.

I was formally employed at life care center of paradise valley for sometime. The administrator is part owner, and only cares about making money and really did not care about patient care. The administrator has been heard multiple times referring to patients as (crazy, drug seekers, ect). As far as staff, she really does not care about them either, not providing raises for 2 years and bad mouthing them too. Several reviews are true, and yes the previous administrator knew how to run a facility.

Response: I use to work at life care too. Bina and Tessie are crazy. The d.o.n. before Tessie was worse. All you hear at life is speaking in ananother language. They got rid of all tge lpns to replace with RN to bring up our ratings, which it did, but what good is that if they ate not competent. Bina makes fun of staff all the time behind closed doors. Life was a great place at one time, now its referred to as lifescare with Bina running it. Good luck to the staff and patients.

Response: I was a cna at life care, but was ran out by Rema the staffing coordinator because I was not Philippine, she has very favourites. She asked me to work an extra shift for Friday off, so I worked it. I did nit go in on Friday, because she forgot the agreement she put me diwn as a no show. I could not take it anymore. Bina is a joke, I heard make a comment about hoe ghetto some of the staff look. She should keep her office for closed when she puts her staff down. I'm glad I left.

The gals in the pt and ot department are absolutely great. Otherwise, I would probably take my husband out, but because I want him to learn to walk again, we are staying.

Response: The discharge planner, was recently let go. What a mistake. The planner would voice her opinion about safe discharges, but Bina did not care, and let her go for her judgement. You see... if the patient stayed beyond the insurance approval the company would have to keep the patient and take the cost. Even though the patient was not ready to go. And they call themselves life "care".

The place is very well decorated. But, there is a big lack of comunication between departments. No one knows what each department is doing. The place is under staff, payed and undertrained. There is only one register nurse for the facility and each LPN has at least 30 patients.

Not trustworthy facility. Social workers are terrible.

The longer I spend reflecting upon the two months I spent at this facility, the more upset I get. The food is disgusting, you'll get your pain relief when the staff is @#$% good and ready, and someone is always there to blow off or ignore your questions. LCCPV is a great one-facility summary of the poor state of health care in Nevada. If you can get driven out of here and get your care in a more progressive state like California or Oregon, then please do so rather than wasting time with this place.

Do NOT send your loved one to this AWFUL place. The most dishonest unethical demons I've ever met. Bina and Abby will most definitely reap the bad karma that is due their way. HORRIBLE!!!!

Response: Abbey, fyi was let go three Times, and Bina brought her back. Abbeys husband is the director so that's why Bina brought her back. Their kids also were employed there. Bina got rid of the employees that cared. Can you believe Bina actually reads the bible, what a hypocrite. She's all about making money. Fyi, Abbey is allowed to have her unemployed kids in her husband office. Honest staff huh.

Response: The owner was notified multiple times, but no response. Forrest Preston, should really reconsider having Bina on payroll. If he only knew the truth about Bina. She cursed her don Jenny in the conference room. It's that Christian? Bina also had her exhusband, as a patient and we were told to give him the vip service. Bina also had therapy treat her neck for free in her office during working hours. I bet Mr Preston does not know that.

Mom was a resident before and the care was better. Loved the old Administrator.who really cared. staff are overworked and under appreciated. kitchen staff are very helpful. cna's try, but sometimes don't get support they need.

Response: This was written by an administrator.

Response: The other administrator was awesome, Tracy Brantley. If you miss her, go to the heights of Summerlin. All the good staff are there. The Heights of Summerlin staff actually care.

this the only facility that theres alot of gossiper and the administrator is so @#$% unprofessional one of my family member works here before and she @#$% ruined her reputation the bosses here all friendsmy mom fell off from the bed and they lied about it.

I would like to say something good - but everything is over shadowed by the fact that there is an employee at this facility who steals from the patients - when they are asleep. In this case it was my fathers wedding band that was stolen. I have written a review previously re: this which has not been printed.

Food gets an Excellent from us. It is good quality and plentiful. They will assist in meal planning and special needs. In room or in Dining room service. Kitchen staff are fine friendly and competent when it comes to their work
Nurses are competent, friendly , and overworked. They don't have time to learn who you are. They don't have time to do anything but, get out the medications.

NCA's for the most part are poor. There is the occasional stand out star. Most though they "get lost after they deliver meal trays to you and you can wait 1 to 2 hours for a NCA to answer a call light. They fail miserably. It is extremely hard to get clean sheets on your bed unless you specifically ask.

Physical and Occupational Therapy is the real star here. Every one in this unit is highly trained and friendly. It is because of these people that patients thrive here and go home much better. When you go to the work area with your PT or OT you are always treated with respect and genuine friendliness. These Therapists are very overworked also.

Most of the Administration people are friendly and helpful. They will help watch out for the patient.

I wish I could give this place a better rating but, they have to many problems.

Response: Please contact Forrest Preston, that's Bina's boss. He has too many facilities to hear all tha. Goes on. If everyone tries, I'm sure we can make life care a better place and nnot make it life scare.
