I was admitted to LCCR for extensive physical therapy after having joint replacement surgery. I had toured the facility, and others, before my surgery and chose LC. That was my mistake. I had been lead to believe that I would have a private room, but I got stuck in a long-term nursing facility in a two-bed room with a woman who was partially bedridden and old enough to be my grandmother. My food was always cold whether I ate in my room or in the dining room and NEVER ONCE WAS IT what I had requested. The equipment my doctor ordered for use in my room was not delivered until I had been there for 8 days and I left after 10 so I got very little benefit from it. My roomate who could do nothing for herslef was never offered water by any of the medical or nursing staff. The only fluids she received was at mealtime. I had to ask them several times a day for fresh water for myself and sometimes when I asked I was told they had no clean pitchers! I had to ask staff to make up my bed when I was up or it went unmade and not once in the 10 days I was there were my linens changed. I could write a book about the lack of care I experienced and observed, but I will stop with the following comment; This place may have been voted "Reno's Best", but if this is an example of Reno's best, The aging residents of Reno are in severe trouble.

Staff seem good up until visiting hours over it seems and have witnessed carelessness and bad attitude in overnight attentiveness. Would not recommend to anyone

cleanliness is about the only thing good about this place. Seems like only employees that cant make anywhere else get hired here. nurses assistants have horrible attitudes with patients.

understaffed. Not enough personnel to take care of patients properly. Patients get dropped because only one person trying to move a patient. People are ignored for hours.

I really life working there but there are just things management does that... are questionable. The staff and nurses are great! There constant understaffing not so much. They are constantly understaffed and job security is iffy. The only time that we are staffed appropriatly is when state review is there. Immediately after state review there is always a mass layoff and employee per patient reduction. That is why the facility has such a ldarge number of patients falling to the floor constantly. Not enough staffing. Also any and all unused, out-dated medications, narcotics and anti-biotics are being constantly flushed down the toilet.
