It's a shame that the only people who take the time to comment are those with negative or cynical attitudes about something. I've been associated with the Arbors for several years, and have referred several of my patients to them for care. As someone whose entire practice depends on my reputation, I am very careful about where I send people. The Arbors is by far the most sophisticated and experienced memory care community in the region, and from what I've seen, they do a terrific job with some very difficult to manage issues.

Warning! All good reviews are written and paid for by employees that are coerced into doing so.

Response: Warning: Many bad reviews are written by competitors of the Arbors who are suffering due to how terrific a job Arbors does.

This place is great! They took my aunt in with short notice! They took such great care of her and helped me find placement since I had no idea what I was doing. The administration is unbelievable. They worked around the clock with me, tolerated me at my worst and loved my aunt as if she was their own family. Thank you Arbors!

If you care about your loved one-reconsider this place.

I have been a pleased "customer" for over three years. Although I have been frustrated by little things like missing laundry, personal items lost, or my mothers bed not made I realize this is "Nursing Home" life. I have never seen such thing as neglect or abuse. I have however, seen the residents sitting in living rooms watching TV as an activity. I find nothing wrong with this since my mother did watch TV while she was at home. Neglect & abuse are strong accusations and could also be considered slanderous. The Arbors has exceeded my expectations by far, and I would absolutely recommend the home to anyone.

Response: I have to agree with this former employee. This place is pathetic.

As a former employee, not only do I say this is a horrible place to work but even worse for you to put your loved one here to live. I have seen abuse and neglect. Mostly why I left is for this reason.

Response: I'm sure this is why you "left".

Response: I couldn't get my loved one out of there soon enough after only 4.5 weeks of steady decline/being ignored. I was there almost every day and at first things seemed ok but soon it was apparent to all that visited our loved one..things here weren't right. I tried to work with administration..they didn't care. I moved loved one elsewhere. NONE to soon. Beware the Arbors..building is pretty enough...that's all it is...cosmetic. Do yourself a huge favor and pass this one by...animals are treated with more respect.

many staff members who speak very broken english; difficult to understand. Care has declined dramatically. Very little activities for residents.

I wish there were more stars to fill under the quality of care section. My father in law stayed at the Arbors as a "respite". I was blown away by the compassion and love that was displayed by all the staff starting from administration all the way down to the housekeepers. I knew he was in good hands when I was out of town and for the first time in a long time my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our vacation. It's not easy to leave a loved one behind without feeling like you have abandoned them, but the week we were away I never felt such thing. I know he was well taken care of, well fed, entertained and above all cared for by amazing people. I give the Arbors much kudos and I wish to Thank them for all that they have done!!

The Arbors of Bedford is an awesome place to work. The Administrator is the only administrator that I have ever worked with that is involved in any and all aspects of the building. She doesn't ask us of anything that she wouldn't do herself...whether it is answering a phone or washing dishes. That example, trickles down through to the department heads and each individual department.

We all work hard to make each day special for our residents and staff. We also work hard to give quality care, nutrition, and cleanliness. The best is expected out of the staff to give the best to our residents and thier family members.

To imply that a state surveyor would be "paid off" to pass this building for an inspection is the most ridiculous thing I have EVER heard. We worked hard to achieve a deficiency free survey for two years in a row...which is virtually impossible to do these days with all the regulations in place. The state surveyors are responsible for making sure all healthcare buildings are in tip top shape. ANYONE who works in the healthcare industry can attest to that....YOU DON'T PAY OFF PEOPLE TO GET A GOOD SCORE!!! If I was a state surveyor I think I would be offended...

The nursing staff gives wonderful care...they are nothing but kind and compassionate.

The laundry and housekeeping services keep this place sparkling.

The building is kept in good repair and up to date by our environmental services director.

THE FOOD IS AMAZING and those that have eaten it say it is BETTER than restaurant quality. The Culinary Services Director goes above and beyond to meet the needs of the residents!

Get my point here....I have worked here for over 3 years. Obviously the person who wrote this horrible review must have been someone who couldn't meet the expectation of the building. So, the cowardly way to handle it would be to post ridiculous, outlandish words on a public forum and try to damage the buildings reputation.

    One word comes to mind....slander!

The Arbors of Bedford is by far the best facility in NH. It's a hidden gem. It isn't easy to find because even though it's easily accessible, it's still kind of tucked away. We looked around quite a bit. The thing that cinched it for us is that staff. The aides and nurses are very dedicated and go above and beyond to assist in every way. We are very happy at the Arbors and wanted to make that known. The staff is exemplary, and that's what makes the difference for us when you worry about your parent.

I love working for The Arbors Of Bedford! The building is uniquely designed to promote a wander safe enviroment for alzheimer and dementia patients. The place is way cleaner than any other place I've worked in. The food is great, staff goes above and beyond daily to meet the needs for each and every resident. I would put my mother or father in here in a heart beat!!!
